Two cards I would look at are Elvish Mariner and Vhal, Candlekeep Researcher. Elvish allows you to tap two when Hylda scrys two and draw a card, which triggers Hylda again. Vhal starts with three toughness to pay for Hyda's trigger cost, but if you use Hylda effect to put +1/+1 counters on her you can tap for even more. If you use effects that untap a creature then you can untap then tap her again for more mana for Hylda's cost.

Great Deck build! Saw this card and i must say, caught my attention too. Love the diverse effects but that 1 mana cost is annoying at times. Do you find yourself unable to pay that ability cost more often then not?

There is a possibility of not spending the mana when you have multiple tap effects. I suggest taking a look at the deck and how it works out in the gameplay we did. Link is in the description!

This one got expensive lol. I added all the cards under a dollar. Is there a cheap, not as good version of Tefari’s protection.

Total should come out to about $260. Look into Flawless Maneuver for a sub for Teferis Protection. Not the exact same but still a protection spell.

I don't think we want many of the one-time tap effects. If you dont have Hylda out they are very low impact, and even if they trigger her, it doesnt feel like you're getting your mana's worth out of a card like succumb to the cold, winter's rest etc. In 2023 commander, many creatures don't need to untap to have a huge impact on the game.
Some of those one-time tap effects are very flavorful though, on that winter theme.

While I agree that some creatures don’t need to untap to have a huge value, our commander needs them to tap regardless haha. The cheaper one time effects are mainly in the deck for early game to trigger Hyldas ability.

@@GuysThatMagic I cut all of the one-time tappers that require 1 or more mana except Niveous Wisps, You See a Gaurd Approach, Cryptic Command, Githzerai Monk and Sharae. This left me with about 25 tap effects, about a dozen less than you're playing, and I never seem to have a problem turning on Hylda by turn 5 or 6 (1 in 4 cards is a tap effect, you should have seen 3 or more of them by turn 6 and have a zero mana way to tap creatures repeatedly by the time Hylda comes down).
I guess if I can't convince you to cut cards like Succumb to the Cold and Winter's Rest, I'm never going to convince you that the Gideon's Lawkeeper type creatures (that require mana to activate) and the Icebind Pillar type artifacts (that also require mana to activate) are also cuttable lol
