Great playthrough, Colin (despite the mistakes). I've watched Bairnt's playthrough before that. I hope you both will do a co-op playthrough when the game releases. I am backing this brilliant game on June 8.
So I backed this game on day 1 because it promo sold me on it. I stumbled upon this video and this play through/review is amazing as well as Colin’s personality. Subbed to the channel and will definitely be looking through his catalog to see what other games I can pick up!

I feel the Angels would be better served with a health dial or a spin down die than little tokens for health. I’ve never thought tokens as a good way to track health especially if they all represent 1hp of damage. In games like Aeon’s End, I’ve gone and replaced the health with spin down dice because it makes playing so much easier.
I feel like it's worth pointing out that the video shows them as double-sided with 1 and 5 sides, not "each token is 1hp" - and in my experience, spin downs (especially D20s) are more prone to losing your count any time someone nudges the table or a game board, while tokens actually retain their values quite reliably in most scenarios. Dials are a good idea, but I dislike the use of anything larger than a D8 for HP tracking, which puts a pretty hard limit on how big your health pools get. Nothing against your preference, just saying it deosn't match mine :) I also agree with Charlie, and having dials for all the demonic enemies would probably be a problem in this game - potentially multiple enemy types *AND* multiple of each to keep track of could mean a lot of dials or dice where tokens can do the job more efficiently.
@@a-blivvy-yus That matches my experience with things as well -- we ended up switching from tracking clips and dials to using tokens and life got a lot easier and less fiddly when playing. I do think dials have value when tracking your angel or the Fallen Prince (which has a lot of health), so we are including those with the Deluxe edition of Deliverance.
Going to back this project.. This was an impressive playthrough showing much of what the game is. To the designer/developers--It this game 90+ % finished? Or are you planning on adding an inordinate amount of add-ons and stretch goals, pushing the title 2 more years to the future? If that's the case, I won't back. I'm tired of those types of campaigns.
Hi there! We have stretch goals planned, but we will not be doing a crazy amount of add-ons and whatnot. All of our stretch goals have been thoroughly tested and are ready to go. If we somehow raise a million dollars or more, there will be an eventual "final stretch goal" without adding more. We are certain of the vision we have for this game and don't want to make new content that will delay the release of the game. Even our stretch goal content is 99% finished and tested for hundreds of plays!

Haha I never heard this before, but I guess you could say it’s thematically appropriate in that way 😂😂😂 The skills are unique for each character, and it is a pretty easy read since the actions on your angel card are your only actions you have to worry about during the game (plus Prayer cards you may draw).
Personally I love reading all the background on each angel. Very interesting snd it adds depth and personality to each one. First game Ive ever backed. Cant wait for next year!

I'm only 13 minutes in & thoroughly confused - am thinking of this for my nephew who is 13 & into video games. Is this strictly a board game? Or do you have to use Internet as well? As he hasn't had much instruction in the Bible, is this game a good way to perk more interest? In the video, I kept hearing "prototype" - the game is not out yet? So confused! Thanks for more info - I am thinking as Christmas gift, but don't understand the different pricing & why so expensive - I must be missing something, lol!
Hi there. This game was on kickstarter. This was a prototype sent to me so I could show people what the game is like. It is a board game not sure why you think the internet is needed? It would certainly work for a 13 yr old! No idea on prices you'd have to ask the publisher!
I gotta say...the theme seems quite "pasted on". One could quite easily use the exact same rules/abilities for numerous themes. Not saying that makes the game bad, of course; but for me I was hoping to see something more innovative in how the entities act during play.
What is the idea with the clouds around the big tiles? Are the clouds an evil force? Or is the idea you are looking down from above or from heaven perhaps? Also what is the purpose of the Initiative coin that comes with the All In pledge?

In the Deluxe edition, we will have 4 health dials, which is indeed a nice quality of life improvement!
