Great video I forgot how to add my bit database to Carbide Create and found your video. If you want to change the Number or the Name of the Bit you can in Carbide create. Same way you edit the feeds and speeds of a Bit in carbide Create. In your video at time of 7:19 when you circle Bit #13, on the same half of the screen at the Bottom you can Edit the Tool. After clicking that you can give the Bit a New name, Model Number, Manufacturer and the Tool Number if you like. In these areas I put the manufacturers name and Model and the Tool Number that is stamped on the box . For example I may have for the Name 1/4 Upcut 2043, Then Model and Tool Number just have 2043 and then the Manufacturer might be Cadence or Jenny. I have not been able to figure out how Carbide has a link to their bits for ordering new ones yet.
Here it is in a few formats. This is just the CNC file. I did the logo on the laser and don't wanna share Cody's logo without permission. drive.google.com/file/d/1GsdlqmT4y7FVdMllF7fjJ4nKZigKNg4l/view?usp=drive_link
I have been trying to get it figured out, I have seen it adds more information if you use one of the Shapeoko bits. The information is hidden somewhere in the program. Maybe one day

best regards, Rick
Excellent video. Thanks man!
Glad you liked it!
Thank you
Very welcome
I tried this with the IDC tool database. Didn't work. Never showed up in Carbide Create Tool Database.
That’s weird, it should work.
I hate the way Carbide Motion says “insert bit #10”. I wish I could add a description instead.
