    The Connex yellow and blue livery on the Class 365s were also carried on the 19 Class 465/0s and the rest of the Class 465s and Class 466s continued to carry the Network SouthEast livery until 2005-2007

    Plus with 410/411/412 trains where all compactable meaning if a 411 break down in front of a 410 or 412 they can connect without any problems, yet now days companies instead of running different types of trains for example the GTR instead of running from from south coast a 377 or 378 (which is same unit and fittings) but then they chose to put the 700 unit on the route and if a 700 unit breaks down and behind it is a 377/378 (same the other way around) both trains cannot connect to each other as they have wrong connection, meaning passageners have to wait a long time for a they can get a fitting so both trains can fitted together, causing delays.

    When the Class 375s were introduced in 2001 they were painted in the Connex Wasp Yellow door livery to replace the MK1 Slam Door Trains and the Class 365s to be transferred to WAGN in 2004 and the Class 465/2s and Class 466s first received this livery in 2002-2005 when under control of Connex South Eastern and South Eastern Trains and the Class 465/0s/1s followed with the same livery in 2005-2007 when under control of South Eastern Trains and currently Southeastern when they introduced the Class 376s in 2004-2005 to replaced the 34 Class 465/2s to be converted into Class 465/9s to replace the Class 423 Slam Door Trains and the Class 466s to replace half of the Class 508s on the Sheerness Line and the Medway Valley Line

    Lush Video. I knew of the Slam Door Units and the 365s, but never went on them. I was born in March 1994 near Lewisham which is featured in this Video, and probably had seen them in my Toddler years but don't remember, as for the Next Video I am really hoping to get more info on the Trains I've riden on, especially the 465s and 466s, Very very cool trains.

      Lack of investment kept them going.

    Sometimes 'urgent' is nothing more than a narrative (LIE).
    How often were the Slammers REALLY breaking dow on the line?

    • @BPMR
      @BPMR  ปีที่แล้ว

      The slam doors were very reliable compared to the stock that were replacing them at the time, however they weren't deemed suitable for a modern railway due to their age, crash worthiness etc.

    *MISTAKE* - 3 carriage units, not 4 carriage units

    • @BPMR
      @BPMR  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not a mistake, they were built as 4 car units. They ran as 4 cars with British Rail on the South Western region but were reduced to 3 car units when they moved to Merseyside. The extra carriage which was removed from the 508’s were then added to the class 455/7’s. If you look at a SWR 455/7 you’ll see that one carriage looks different.
