It's so funny that during this Covid-19 lockdown I was listening to Art blackey and the Jazz messengers, more specifically Art Blakey, Horace Silver, and Clifford Brown...and voila I saw these lectures by Herbie Hancock who as a South African musician I also wished that I could do some of our cultural music with him as a pianist and assistant arranger. I found myself motivated and I listened to all the episodes. Thanks.
i'm not even a musician, but as an artist (novelist) I have been immensely motivated by these lectures. I have watched part 1 and 2 already. I intend finishing the entire series. Powerful stuff, mkhaya
I realize I haven't paid enough attention to a lot people that are very impressive. Herbie Hancock a wake up call to the gems in the our world that fly a bit under the radar.
