    A couple of things......
    Yamaha did NOT sell an SP model in Canada in 1995. This is, in fact, a 1993 model.
    If it is a Canadian model, the odometer better not read miles as you stated, or it's not original and then nobody knows what the mileage really is...
    If you want top dollar for it you need take those hideous f'n turn signals off and burn them. You can get a full set of OEM replicas on eBay for less than $100. It's a pity holes were drilled in the fairings to fit that type of front turn signal.
    You're missing the fuel tank dampers that prevent the tank and frame from damaging each other. Those are the little self adhesive rubber bits the attach to the tank, and brace it against the frame when you tighten it down at the rear mount. Not having these dampers puts a lot of strain on the front and rear tank mounts too.
    Oh, and also, there was a brake light switch for the rear brakes when new.
    Otherwise, sweet looking bike. She looks to be a great condition, and sounds really nice.

      500 SP's were built each year from 93 to 96 to meet WSB homologation regulations. The livery changed each year but there were certainly overlaps in when bikes were built, registered and sold.
      I found that the links below give best information on the YZF750SP differences.

    I have a few one of the best bikes ever made in my humble opinion as I have said now on a few ocasions better than the Fire Blade and over looked because of the blade
    to the loss of many riders who would otherwise have bought one of these Much better on the track than the honda in many many ways However I must disagree re the 6 pot
    calipers they were in my opinion shit Go blue spot much much better and safer !! thanks for the up load !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I’m Canadian and purchased one of these brand-new in 1993. Cost me $10,000 back then. Below five grand Forget it those flat slides did not like it. Get it over five grand and hey it was gone I used to eat GSXR 1100s for breakfast with that thing. With the close ratio transmission after first gear it was like a dirtbike. I sold the bike and unfortunately it was destroyed so I guess that makes it 499…

    Sorry to ruin your party, but I can't see a removable rear subframe on this one. Also that rear suspension reservoir is from stock R model. I wonder what carburetors does this one have?

    • @dankitching8521
      @dankitching8521 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The rear shock reservoir is not a stock R piece, I have an all original R model and the R part is not adjustable from the reservoir like this one is.
      Also, the rear subframe attachment points cannot be seen without removing the rear seat bodywork.
      I will be raining on their parade a little, but not for the reasons you thought.

    • @RookieKillz
      @RookieKillz 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The adjustabel shock reservoir is stock. I also have and have had an original YZF 750r. All YZF's that I have seen have an adjustable rear shock reservoir. SP has a removable subframe, that aluminium frame which is beneath the seat. You are talking about that steel rear frame, that one is removable also on a R model. I've learned that early SP models didn't have a removable subframe. Later ones did though. My point is, that the information spoken in this video is not connected to this particular motorcycle. This is an early SP model which does not have these features mentioned.

    • @dankitching8521
      @dankitching8521 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      RookieKillz This is a '93 model that was not sold in the USA. The R model in '93 did not have adjustable rebound.

    • @RookieKillz
      @RookieKillz 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I see. Both mine were 1994 models. That's where my misleading information comes from, but that wasn't the point though. Still it was a nice debate we had.

    • @dankitching8521
      @dankitching8521 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      RookieKillz It's always good to have a respectful disagreement/misunderstanding.
      Your original point was correct though, their facts just don't match the bike.

      The Yamaha YZF750SP was available to buy from 1993 to 1997 throughout most of the world.
      You can also pick up some unsold 97 models sold in 98.
      I don't know about the availability in Canada, but these bikes have been crossing continents and when they do come up for sale in Europe world wide shipping is offered.

    That is the first bike I have seen on your channel that made me think you should have thought "that bike's not going on the channel, we have standards to uphold". But, alas, you folks are there to sell motorcycles.
