That seems a bit short for two years of growth. If I didn't cut my place for two years I'd be up to my armpits in field grasses. Thanks for the videos! EDIT: Okay - now I see the tall field grass! Whew!!!
@@HardwayRanch yeah the owner keeps part of it mowed on a regular basis as they like to come out on weekends he just has me out once a year to cut it but he didn’t have it done last year

@@davidmiller1483 unfortunately no I did price a new m5-111 open station and it’s just way out of budget for me right now at $70,000 for now I’ll stick it out with what I have and maybe find something else in the future
Man. I've been following your channel for a while now, I do the same thing, commercial maintenance and a lot of ROW and bush hogging. My landpride rc2512 has been a good cutter but it leaves a strip of half ass cut material when it is over 16" in height. I pulled a new bushhog 1812 and it was night and day. I believe I'm about to buy one and keep this landpride for a spare. Dosen't yours leave a uncut strip sometimes?
Around 14 gallons I think I don’t really remember and depending on what I’m doing with it I can run a full 8hr day on a tank of fuel running in stuff like this in standard 540 it burns quite a bit of fuel
@@tlcbushhogging Dont have to explain it further.. when you said 540e i totally understand. I run in that on my citys 90hp JD and its 15ft flexwing.. and it will bring it down if you get in too high grass. i do about 3mph mowing.
A lot of the bogging down is because he doesn't have enough horse power to run it like it should be ran. He's at the BARE MINIMUM horse power rating for the batwing.
@@jonathanfrecking1210or could be because I was running in 5th gear with it being wet and running 540E which puts me around the 1800rpm mark instead of the 22-2300 that it runs in standard 540. Btw the minimum for that cutter is 40hp per landpride
@tlcbushhogging just because Landpride said 40 doesn't make it true. 5hp per foot is pretty much the standard, but I wouldn't pull it with that small of tractor. That's me though.

Can we get a comment on the set up of the tractor and bush hog specs?
It’s just a m7060 and a rc2512
Love the vidoes ! What RPM do you run you tractor at ? Thanks 🇺🇸👍🏻
95% of the time I run 540e so it’s around that 17-1800 rpm range which is why it struggles in the beginning of the video

I did have a 01 dodge 3500 that I just sold now I’m using a 2017 ram 2500 trailer is a 32ft load trail
Very cool. Is that a new brush hog?
No it’s about 2 years old
That’s some thick johnson grass and then add in some sericea and that’s tough cutting with 64 pto hp. Looks good though.
He got that big John deer 🦌

I can only imagine how thick some of that grass must be to bog down a batwing bush hog. Holy smokes.
