Buckle your chin strap for a wild Club Random in honor of the start of the NFL season! Bill Maher and Aaron Rodgers randomly riff: Bill compares Aaron to Derek Jeter and gives a hilarious new meaning to “MVP”, the night that Kato Kaelin predicted Aaron’s superstardom to Bill, Bill and Aaron do a deep dive on medical autonomy and all things health, including Novak Djokovich, Kyrie Irving, and Bill’s take on Justin Turner, why Bill Cosby got a vet license, how Aaron prepares during the season, how Aaron rebelled against his conservative parents by watching Bill on TV, inside Aaron’s quest to host Jeopardy, Bill and Aaron rank QB’s and announcers, and Bill’s wild reason for refusing to watch college sports.

If you wanna know who Aaron Rodgers is as a Football player...pick the MOST TALENTED player in your favorite sport...that's what Rodgers us to FB.
The Sport would kinda be like Soccer though...but not really. In FB, ALL 11 players have to be working in unison. Anyone fucks up, the play can be over just like that. But similar in that you can't win all in your own.
If Rodgers was a Basketball player, he'd be...LeBron or KD. His team would ALWAYS be a contender just because of him.
Tom Brady is considered the GREATEST Football player, but even Brady has said he's not capable of doing the same things that Rodgers is.
Now...guys like Mahomes, Herbert or whoever MAY come and surpass him, but as of now...he's the MOST TALENTED.
That said, he choked last year.
Years past it was the defense. Last year...the OL, BUT mostly Rodgers failure.

You don't expect the same out of Tyler Lancaster(responsible for the blocked kick) as you do Aaron Rodgers.
He's making 126M over the next 2 years m, he should be able to overcome that. And then the Lazard miss...he was WIDE OPEN on a play that likey gives then the game and he just decides pre-Snap...despite the 49ers playing man and Lazard running the man beater and the Safety shaded to Adams, he was just gonna throw it up and pray.

@@farandwide7176 seems to make my point. He made an exception here, even at the risk of what I said. But exceptions are by definition rare, I would guess in this case because Bill enjoyed it so much and didn't feel like it should be edited down. But as a rule it makes more sense to keep it tight so guests (and to a lesser extent Bill too) have plausible deniability, which relieves the pressure of optics or whatever.

No, I mean I pulled that quote from Maher because he’s joking about Rodgers smoking on a “lesser podcast” that podcast obviously being The Joe Rogan Experience, far from a lesser podcast that’s forsure. Has nothing to do with smoking weed, just the act of smoking, specifically a regular tobacco cigar in this case.
However, me being a massive Packers fan, I would agree with you in the sense that I would love to watch Rodgers smoke weed and get high on Club Random lol i mean 80%-90% of NFL players smoke weed and almost all of them are able to skirt the drug tests somehow so im sure Rodgers partakes time to time, he’s just stupid enough to do it in front of a camera. Maybe one day, after he’s retired I could see him do it. He already half way doesn’t give a shit anyways, he’s been towing the line with the NFL for years, talking about actively taking ayahuasca in the off-season lol he’s begging the NFL to challenge him, so if he has that mindset now while he’s a back to back reigning MVP of the league I’m sure by the time he’s retired he’ll have plenty of things to say the NFL probably would fine or suspend him for if he was playing.

The younger top QBs playing today are really fun to watch as well, but you can see they just haven't played long enough to have the IQ that Rodgers and Brady have, but that takes time.
