Homie used the phrase "edge cases". I work in UX and using "edge cases" when referring to humans that use your product is shameful and wrong. Unfortunately, there are plenty of product people use this language and it's very frustrating and a very old way of building. People that use your product are not edge cases. Jihoz, or whatever their name is, has a terrible attitude towards his player base and potential new players. I'm a master level player in other card games and was thinking of trying out Axie and because of this interview and his attitude, I definitely won't be.

I think they are just showing that they value the high performance gamers over the just get by grinders. the slp price has warranted some form of action the direction they are heading is the better choice IMO reward the high level gamers and that should propel the battles game in the esports world. the grinders will most likely have their place in the land gameplay trading their time and not requiring skill. But I do expect the DAU numbers to drop.
