Hey, thank you so much for watching. I want your feedback what do you think about the new Boston Terrier Gift shop I created? bit.ly/BostonTerrierSocietyGiftShop if you like any items here is a 10% Discount Code - BOS10
You did your thing with this video I appreciate it. Right to the point and pretty damn useful information when you're running to the pet store trying to find the best starter kit for your pup.
So, we have just adopted a Boston (female). We pick her up August 27th, and it would be SO wonderful if you could do a video on what to expect with a Boston puppy and puppy prepping the home. She will be our first dog. On a side note, we LOVE watching your channel, and you have helped us choose a Boston as our breed. We’re very excited, but also a little nervous.
That is awesome! I’m glad you like the channel. Ok, I like the video idea. I’m not sure if I will come out with it in time for you but I’ll add it to my list!
Excellent tips, the Bostons I had had to have their ears cleaned on a regular basis. A good cleaning solution for their ears are equal parts water and distilled white vinegar. Use cotton balls and don't force too far down ear.wipe dry with a clean cotton ball.

Donnie - as a first time Boston owner with a 3 month old pup, I’ve found videos like this one to be extremely helpful. I’d love videos on gentle correction and positive reinforcement training. I’ve noticed a lot of Bostons in pool pics on your FB group page and would also like to know more about how to safely introduce my puppy to swimming and if chlorinated pools can cause any health issues. Thank you!
Thank you so much! A three months old how exciting. That is a great idea for a video. In the meantime here is an article I wrote about Boston Terriers and swimming that you should find helpful www.bostonterriersociety.com/can-boston-terriers-swim/
Ok thanks for the idea. I like that idea. For Bella we really only have a kong and a stuffed animal. Are you thinking 🤔 like a top 10 for Boston Terriers? Maybe I buy 10 and review them type?
Boston Terrier Society If you think that would be worthwhile, sure! But if Bella doesn’t need many toys, then maybe a video on essential toys for a Boston, some “maybe get them” toys, and then some that are overhyped and not necessary? Also a lot of us need puppy toys, so a brief section on that might be nice, even if Boston’s will outgrow them.
Super helpful! Currently in heavy prep mode for my puppy that comes home in July and between your channel and MacCanne dogs feeling greatly reassured and confident through the whole process. With regards to what topics to cover, I've always been interested in the process and training owners and organisations have to go through to train service dogs and if a Boston Terrier would be a good medic dog on the lines of aiding or detecting mental health episodes such as mania, anxiety or seizures.
Thanks I’m glad you’re finding these helpful. Ok, thanks for the topic idea. I might have someone come on to talk about their Boston being a service dog. It may be a couple of weeks before I get something like this out.
How to prevent tear stains. My Boston has really bad tear stains on the right side of her face occasionally but not the left. We wipe her eyes off, but we did not know if there was something else we could do.
I am getting a male BT and would like a video on the type of dog insurance coverage that would best meet his needs? Also, is it recommended to get a $250-$500 deductible? What is the average monthly cost that I could expect to pay? Is insurance even necessary? Does it pay for itself in the long run? Thx!
Not necessarily I would say pick and choose when works best for you and try to build it into your schedule so it is a habit for the rest of your Boston’s life.
I just picked up my 8 week old boston. What is the best puppy shampoo for my puppy and what is the best brush for her? I got a crete for her. I don't know if its the right size for her when she grows.
How exciting! I honestly don’t remember what Emily and I used on Bella as a puppy when washing her. We use the WAHL 4 in 1 shampoo today and it works great. We use a bristle brush for Bella and it works great! If you haven’t joined yet look at joint the Boston Terrier Society’s Facebook Group. There you can ask questions to thousands of other Boston Terrier owners to get a deeper insight. Hope this helps. facebook.com/groups/497294314401144/?ref=share
I’m not a dog trainer but I’ve seen where people start to put their dog in an empty bath just so they can start getting used to the feeling of being in the bath. If you could start doing this a few times a week maybe this will help your Boston get over the fear of being in there and then eventually you can turn on the water, then progress to cleaning.
Thinking back to Bella as a puppy I don’t remeber her being unwilling to be brushed. I would say keep trying and fingers crossed 🤞 they will get used to be Ming brushed

Hi Donnie if u have a minute can u tell me how you personally clean Bella’s ears. Scoobys ears are gross
Loved it how Bella snatched her treat after her grooming. Like, "It is rightfully mine! I earned it by honest and hard work!"

Boston Terrier Society thank you. Indeed, a helpful article.
@@skastner8106 Awesome. thank you
A video on toys would be great for the future. I know you like to mostly just talk on camera, but some visuals for toys would be nice.

@@knathani Ok. Whats funny is Bella isn't really into toys, now that she is older. I'll see what I can come up with. Thanks for the help.
you have a fresh haircut in the playback video lol gives me the idea to bathe them when I get a cut

That's amazing, will be waiting patiently for the result and would love to hear from the owner you speak of:)
How is it!?
Great video. I have two Boston Terriers and I have six dog beds. 😁
I was gonna ask folks how often they bathed theyre bosties.....but you got it covered! Id been wondering if monthly was enough.....or too much! 🤭
Monthly is enough.
Can you please talk about cleaning tail pockets on Boston’s? It’s so important for their comfort and health!
Hi there!
Do you have video where you cleaning her ears?
Thank you.
Thank you.
Things that a Boston need

Great tips!!! Thanks Steve from Minecraft!
how do you recommend washing your dog blankets or pillow cushions? do you use regular detergent of nonsmelling types?
Bella has never had any issues of us using our detergent. It is tide with a scent to it.
Does all of this apply for puppies? mine is 2.5 months old
Not necessarily I would say pick and choose when works best for you and try to build it into your schedule so it is a habit for the rest of your Boston’s life.
can you make a video of bt to stop nipping when they are exited
Yes, I can. Thanks!

Please tell me how to cut it nails??
vitamin supplements for a puppy boston terrier
My Boston is still afraid of bath what can I do she's almost one year old now

@@BostonTerrierSociety thank you for the reply.
What do Boston terriers usually do?
What do you mean exactly?
@@BostonTerrierSociety like do they usually vomit around the house?
They fart 💨
What about No-rinse shampoo?
I think a no rinse shampoo is OK. I’ve heard other Boston terrier owners use it. I’ve never personally used it on Bella.
My puppy doesn't let me brush him. Is it normal on a puppy?
Thinking back to Bella as a puppy I don’t remeber her being unwilling to be brushed. I would say keep trying and fingers crossed 🤞 they will get used to be Ming brushed
@@BostonTerrierSociety thank you
You’re welcome 😉
I would like a tip on how I can get my bt to stop barking. Thanks
Ok 👌 thanks. I’ll see what I can do.
FLATULENCE
Food this is best to keep the stinky farts down.
Wiping my dog's face with just a damp warm cloth? Only water?
Yes, that is what Emily does for Bella a simple hand towel with warm water.
Im sorry but there is no way my Boston is gonna let me brush her teeth😂
yeah it takes patience and practice
