I loved watching both NFHS & FMHS bands. They were both amazing. It is a shame you guys could not have tied. I hated to see either of these bands place 2nd. Anyway.....all those kids deserve kudos. As a band parent from Wren High School, I think it is great to see such wonderful talent put on display by these kids. Anybody who says this generation of kids are troubled need to attend a band competitions to see the talent AND sportsmanship put on display by these kids.
Great job Nafo. Your hard work paid off so much and you deserve your title. As for the .05 difference in 1st and 2nd, that just shows that the best bands are from Fort Mill. It could've gone either way and it went yours. Congratulations!
Can you please not trash talk against our guard? They did have a rough start this year but the work they put in the last two weeks was phenomenal and it paid off. They had their best run of the year on the last night. It was enough for one of the visual judges and wasn't for the other.
tozer2011 Dude, I am a fort mill band kid and I have to say just because NaFo beat us doesn't mean that they don't deserve that trophy. All of us are over the fact that they beat us and we congratulate them. So get over it yourself.
@palmettobands I hate to break this news to you but last night Nation Ford became GRAND CHAMPIONS of the Western Carolina Tournament of Champions I think you spoke too soon against such an amazing band
@palmettobands I'm not focused on if someone's is or isn't going to beat me....I'm focused on me beating me....and you should do the same. Do a great job at WCU, I hope your band does well.
@palmettobands Seeing as your misinformed..I'll tell you. He said we MIGHT be going to BOA....but b/c of the Macy's trip being so expensive, we are not. So please, stop being negative about our band and just enjoy the music.
And if you knew anything about the actual judging panel you probably wouldn't be making your politics argument. The judges were all highly regarded indivduals from all around the country and none of them had much of anything to do with South Carolina bands or the SCBDA.
