- I have a couple of activepixel cameras, and each of them have their own storage. The microsd cards are on the camera so, if anyone does damage the camera or steals it, we lose all our recordings. Activepixel have their new wireless NVR or network video recorder available, and I bought one to test out. So how well does it work, let's check it out.

4 channel DVR + 30days FHD recording = ?? HDD SIZE
I have a 1tb hdd within, half a month with four cameras it's down to 650 MB. Lots of space left. I've also set it to overwrite and if the space is full it will delete the oldest recording.

What happens if the nvr gets turned off. Does having sd card help for this case just incase?

Brother.... 3mp camera is enough for night vision and day light...... And in Amazon I seen they telling 16k and offering 4 cam and pvr without hard disc.... And they r mentioned 4 channel pvr.....which means we can only add 4 cam only which they provide in box....or we can add cam ....pls help me and advise about this brother

Could you do a setup for PTZ and preset different angles?
PTZ scan .. 1 cam going from 1 point to another automaticly . on the NVR you showed.
This is actually a really good product, after looking at thumbnail, I thought its a router, but I was wrong 😅
I like that, this has almost all the functions for controlling the cameras.

Sir i want to playback video.. But nvr has no Volume control.. When i playback, i dont want sound.. Just video but nvr has loud speaker which make other person to know.. Any solution? Monitor volume off then also nvr play sound

Great video! This Nvr uses 7mm 2,5 HD, that's why did not close. Let me ask, do you find where to configure cameras quality on the Nvr? What about restrict the autopan PTZ to a small area? Tks a lot.
There are options to set the tour rotation range, and also the look at or default angle. Resolution on the nvr is customisable, the camera would output at its default resolution. I had set the nvr display output to 1080p to support my older lcd tv.

It seems to work only with cameras that support the icsee or xmeye apps. Ifihomes bulb camera worked, but none of my cameras other than activepixel cameras were detected.

Hi my ptz camera which connectrd to wireless nvr is going to an awkward position after switch off and then on...how i resolve this issue via config change in nvr ?
You have an option called set watch to set the angle you want the camera to always point to. If you're using the ICsee app it looks like a speedometer, also you can set three tour points to quickly switch to by tapping on the number.
Hello sir, i have a TP LINK Deco Mesh rputer and all my Active Pixel PTZ camera is connected to the Mesh router. Can i keep my camera connected to the existing Deco mesh router and use this recorder to record alone?

You can pair the cameras to the recorder using onvif, then you can have them connect to your router and also record to the NVR. But the ip will be provided by the deco and not the NVR.

I used a memory card to store video in wireless nvr, but am not able to find or extract it in a windows computer ,is there any solution for this issue?
I have installed a hdd, but I didn't try accessing via a computer. I generally use the Android app to download required recordings.
Brother..... PVR unit we will keep in indoor..... Outdoor cam we will keep in teras like top side of the home..... PVR can detect the cam..... And what is that maximum range?
I'm using wirelessly with cameras outdoors, and some are 20-30 feet away and are still detected.

This will work, as it connects directly to the cameras. You will not be able to use the app, but you can watch the video by connecting to a monitor or TV. For app access you need a router and internet.
Can you record footages of a wired network camera connected to the router. By connecting the router to this nvr
Yes, as they are part of the same network and assigned an ip via dhcp it will be detected. But the general use case is the cameras connect wirelessly to the nvr's wifi. The problem with connection via the router is that the ip can change if the camera restarts unless you you set a static ip to them. If the ip changes the camera has to be setup again.
My 3 active pixel camera's out of 4 are not working . there adapter is blinking. All camera's are wifi cameras . can you please help in same
Did you reset the cameras before trying to pair them to the nvr?

The NVR creates its own wifi signal, which the cameras connect to. The LAN is to connect the NVR to our network.
can i connect this nvr with non~active pixel onvif ip camera ?
Doesn't look like, I was trying to get one setup via rtsp streaming but it's not working. Activepixel cameras are detected automatically, nothing else shows up.
after i connected via LAN,i disconected and NO MORE CONNECTIoN,which is mean wifi not works on NVR,i am confused
Wifi is only for the cameras, you need to connect the NVR to LAN, to be able to view the camera feed and recordings on your phone.

The NVR only works with cameras that use the ICSee Pro app and XMEye app.
Yes sir that i can understand. i just asking you when you search from a laptop or mobile there will one hotspot shows of the active pixel nvr like (WIFINVR00124242f1aa) what is the password to enter the wifi network ??
They don't provide it. I was thinking of extending the signal with a wifi extender but I could never find the password.
you can view it if your are using icsee or xmyeye.

Not sure, it would support cameras that can be used with ICsee and XMEye app. It was only detecting my activepixel cameras even though I have other cameras too.

To provide good signal to the cameras, as they connect to the nvr, ssd is for recording from those wireless cameras.

How to configure the Mini NVR wifi like SSID and Password , in order to connect wifi camera to it ?
It comes with a default name and password, just reset the active pixel camera and once it's in setup mode do a scan using the nvr, the camera is automatically found and setup. You don't need to manually enter the WiFi details, it's all done automatically, wirelessly.

It connects to active pixel cameras automatically. It has its own wifi Hotspot which they don't share the pasword to. The LAN cable is what connects it to the Internet and your network.

I don't, it automatically provides it to the cameras when connecting.
It's not a good idea to using a lap hard drive as a storage. I think 2.5 inch hard drives does not come with surveillance mode.
I've been using it for more than a year now, actually two, no problems at all.

@AsankaHerathgplus I've set it to record only when motion is detected, so it's doesn't run 24/7 recording wise, but it is active when powered.

Hello sir, a humble request, could you pls make a video, how to connect to existing wifi camera wirelessly without connecting nvr to router via ethernet cable. Thank you.
The Nvr creates it's own wifi access point which connects to the cameras. Make sure the cameras are reset and ready to be configured. When you scan via the nvr the cameras are found and they connect to the nvr directly. The cable from router to nvr is for internet access and to be able to view the cameras on the app. If you connect the nvr to a TV via hdmi, you can directly view the live feed and also recordings without need for the router cable.

@Bbala5079 If you connect to a TV/monitor you don't need any external router and can view live feed, but you need to connect it to a router with Internet to be able to view the video on a phone via Internet. The wifi access point on the nvr is not accessible on your phone, it only works with the cameras.

It supports cameras upto 3mp resolution, not sure about the 4k camera model.

Yeah, what the customer care told me was all cameras that support xmeye and iCSee apps. I only have active pixel cameras that work with these apps.

It does not. Mostly any camera that can work with XMeye and ICSee app will work with it.
Is it reliable brand
I'm using active pixel cameras for years now. The NVR does disconnect once in a while(maybe due to Wi-Fi router power cycling) but the cameras work without any problems.
But it has no service centr or dealer in Jaipur
They're dealing from Mumbai, not sure how they would take care of the after sale service.

Want to purchase this for my house but hesitating about the quality and durability of it.
My cameras have been running for years now, and the NVR is a new addition which also works well. You could always go for known brands like hikvision, zicom or cpplus.
