    When edison created a lamp, he didn't discover a way how to create a lamp, he discovered 2 thousand ways to fail the lamp. Love the video, motivates me to continue learning deck flip, idk after 2 days of practice i still can't even flip a deck, not even talking about flipping it perfectly.

    My favourite move is riffle fan and I learned it from your tutorial and it took me 3 months to learned it. I can do the one handed shuffle but not very good and again I learned it from your tutorial.

    So basically what he is saying is that the hardest moves are the ones that are less controlled and don’t always have a 100% guaranteed chance of working. (Like the deck flip or topshot)

    @chocolateflavoredducks3414 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I absolutely agree with the deck flip. A lot of ppl can't even do it right. They sort of use arm momentum to throw the deck up which isnt right lol. But yeah totally feel you there , took me a LOOOOOONNGG time

    I mean, it's all about failing multiple times until you get it. Repetition is key here. Yes you may feel frustrated during the process, but don't give up. You'll get there, and you will feel proud of the effort you put in.

  • @wiseacredave
    @wiseacredave 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I agree that the Riffle Fan is one of the most difficult things to learn. I've been working on it for at least 6 months. I'm to the point where I can reliably do more than 1 and 1/2 rotations. The physics, incidentally, is very interesting. You need not only gravity and another source of torque (with the help of friction), but also inertia and careful balancing to rotate those cards more than 360 degrees. By contrast, 360 degrees is relatively easy now!
    I also agree about the 1-handed shuffle. It seemed completely impossible, and it took me months. Eventually you get the muscle memory and it seems natural and easy. Another fun 1-handed false shuffle is where you transfer a top packet to the bottom, make a triangle thingy, then keep transferring more top packets into the triangle, then eventually collapse the packets into the original, unchanged deck. Very fun and visual. I forget where I learned it.

  • @arthurrtang9670

    I think the level of 2-handed cuts just really depends on the person. We all learn at different rates. So yeah, there are things that some people can learn a lot faster or slower than others. I will say that starting out early does give you an advantage, especially if it occurs during the "sensitive" period. However that doesn't mean that adults or young adults (teenagers) can't do cardistry if they started late. So I agree that there is a level of subjectivity due to personal experience.

    My genuine top 3 hardest Cardistry moves:
    Pandora (the tornado and also crab shack are a pain)
    Paddidle switch (transfer through all 5 fingers)
    Re-re-re-retrigger
    I only named ones that are well known in the Cardistry community or else I could name Elastic Heart which is my own move or some flourish only one person can do.

    Interesting video. I've been doing cardistry for almost 10 years, maybe more, and I can't do any of these three moves. I don't really care about the riffle fan and the one handed shuffle, but I've tried to master the deck flip, and it just doesn't work, the bottom card keeps flying off.
