I own a Fortuner and I can say Gloster does not stand in front of Fortuner in terms of Engine, Looks, Stance, Body Strength, Off road capabilities and just over all charisma
Fortuner looks dated from outside and inside both. Gloster looks sophisticated snd classy. Ride quality and refinement of fortuner is also inferior. Toyota reliability is unquestionable but I have not heard of any serious defects/failures with Gloster either. Gloster also has extremely upmarket interiors, ADAS tech, Anti roll tech, autoparking, multiple terrain modes like range rover and so much more. I don't think there is even one single meaningful feature in Fortuner that is missing in Gloster. Gloster also costs lesser hence the clear winner is Gloster.

All important features covered showcasing where our money is going and how much value we get with Gloster. Fortuner is good but you get lot less for a car priced over 50 lalkhs in comparison to this MG Gloster
It is a BIG HUGE SUV. So clearly not meant for fast acceleration, this is not really a SPORT UV. But it drives very well, and very comfortable. 1650 kms from Delhi to Mumbai, no fatigue felt.
