I’ve watched about 30 videos of early motorcycles from 1905-1930 they mostly took lots of effort to get them to start . This model fired right up without hesitation sounds smooth and I couldn’t help notice the advanced fuel tank it’s wider than all the others, nice bike.....!
Nice to see an unrestored, original bike still being ridden, and especially one from a lesser kmown manufacturer. If you asked someone to name a German motorcycle, BMW and then Zundapp would be mentioned, very few people would have heard of Ardie.
Ardie was been one of the bigger (not of the biggest) german motorcycle companies in the 1920/30s. There were about 500 motorcycle brands in the 1920s in Germany, but only a few of them produced after the war soon. An Ardie was been more exclusive than a DKW for example and much more expensive too.
