Min Heejin who is the CEO of ADOR was not an idol but she was the creative director of SM entertainment. She has worked for all of the SM artists like Shinee, f(x), red velvet, exo ,nct... She is the one who came up with most of the Sm artists concepts, teasers, photosketch etc...Later on she left SM and joined hybe as the creative director and started her own label.

So I have read this in someone's else post under one of NJ performance.. The Cookie song, from a native Korean speaker can also means making a CD disk literally.. So in the end of MV we saw the cookie became a cd rolling.. After reading that comment I was enlightened!! Usually for non speakers we can really say there's a double meaning of the lyrics but after truly understanding it.. All is just mind blowing

you guys should really check out Swan from Purple Kiss. She's the main vocal and she just did a love performance of a couple songs on Lee Mujin's channel. She's known as the best/top vocal of the 4th gen because her voice is sooo unique.

one big misconception that's greatly spreading abt NewJeans is their age. ppl often refer to them specifically how "young" they are when IVE literally have their maknae same age as NewJeans maknae; 14 yrs old when they debuted. Billlie, Nmixx, Lightsum, weeekly all had minor members at the time of the debut yet I didn't see any "concern" for them??
Second misunderstanding is the lyrics of cookie. In Korea, everyone often refers to CDs as cookies. If you watch any korean ppl reaction to the song, you'll find how they keep repeating "cute" cuz the lyrics actually sound childish a bit. I understand how global fans esp western ppl would perceive it as provocative and inappropriate due to sexual innuendos which are common in western side
There were Western writers and Koreans who've spent significant time with understanding Western media/in the West included in the writing of Cookie however which is why it's not a brilliant argument to say it's simply Western people jumping to conclusions, and assuming only the Korean lyrics give off the 'true/original' meaning of the song when they comment on lyrics.

I agree they should've been careful with the lyrics meanings in the western side and what the translations could lead to but you can't just turn blind eye over the fact that cookie is common analogy for CDs in Korea ( no wonder it's doing so well in kcharts) similar to how it holds completely sexual meaning in the west.
i ain't never seen people say how young a group is until new jeans debuted, nmixx debuted with 3 minors as well & i didn't hear anyone mention their ages multiple times..

People have been talking about ive nmixx and some bg minors too. new jeans joined in. they are not something special. People have been showing concern since long. Every idol who debuted young have been talking about how wrong and mentally disturbing it was for them. but you all just think "oh they are jealous, they hate the girls" to defend this child exploitation.
also even if in some case people were not concerned about ive and nmixx, were you using that as an excuse to support these companies using girl children in that horrible industry ?

viviz is no longer under hybe after gfriend being forced to disband..
They were not forced to disband. Hybe has no authority to disband any group. Only their company and group can disband a group. Gfriend owns their rights to the group. They can become Gfriend again anytime they want. 2 members are solo artists now under different companies. And 3 members are in a group together but I can't remember the name.
@@nicoleloss7987 Gfriend's disbandment was not their choice, the label (Source) kicked them out ,they were told their contracts would not be renewed which meant they were disbanding. Things started to change for gfriend after Source was bought by Hybe. So you can come to your own conclusion about Hybe's influence on gfriend's disbandment. If you actually listened to anything the members have said about this you'd understand.

Viviz is no longer under hybe they are under bpm entertainment because GFRIENDs contract was terminated
Their contract was up.
Viviz was never under hybe they formed under BPM. Gfriend was under source which is under hybe. Gfriend were not offered to renew their contracts, but actually were disbanded by their former company prior to their actual contract end date(according to info I've seen online). This would seem to indicate that their contracts were in fact terminated.
