Thank you for the catalogue at the end! It is great seeing Crown engines run. I look forward to one of these days seeing a Crown Locomotive running again in the Doe River Gorge!
I believe Tweetsie has most of the Crown Parts in their shop, so I wouldn't count 4 our just yet, Tweetsie could one day donate the parts necessary to restore her
Why did they decide to give an American style locomotive British buffers and then put a link and pin system onto it just to screw with everyone also what are those things on the roofs of the locomotives
The red engine is not american style, they are supposed to be British/African style. They were ordered that way. The things on the roof are cooling fans, gets super hot in Florida.
@@baldwinloco12 ahh I had no idea thank you for the clarification and as a Floridian I can confirm it gets pretty hot but you'll get used to it after living here for a while

Yeah I really want to see the Doe River George Crown run.
Sounds like a NYC Longbell 6 Chime reminds of the whistle that was on both 497 and 482 from the D&SNG!
Sounds like both locos need quartering. Great locos, though. Crown did a great job building their trains!
Out of curiosity at 2:54 where in the park did you buy that little engine
I got it in the main store just after you enter the park.
And how much is it
@@hamishthedockchugger351 $25
I guess No. 4 is done for good…but I still my my share of hope.
Yeah it looks that way, sad, one of my favorite Crowns.
@@baldwinloco12 I wouldn't call it gone for good just yet.

If they don’t end up refurbishing it to operation it would be nice to see it put on display inside the park once the necessary parts have been removed
Don’t they ever use ropes for the bells?!
No, air operated bell.
@@baldwinloco12 oh then was the bell always air powered?!
Is it just 9 running now or is 5 and 601 still running alongside her?
#5 isn’t running yet because of some “stupidity” reason
#5 is being re-built right now, an engineer told me.
@@baldwinloco12 when will it be back?
@@transitnthings I was told soon.
I just wish engine #4 returns one day
Where is this located?
Tampa Florida
Where all engines steam powered?
All of there engines are steam powered.
44:03 I think this Crown was sent to Omaha Zoo.

@@Kaithelegoguy I'm fifth generation Floridian, it gets worse the older you get.
@@baldwinloco12 lol I've never really had a problem with the weather here besides the 50 and 60 degree weather in the winter lol 😆
No. 9 sounded horrible last time I visited her.
She’s getting old so rip
