- In this chunky highlights tutorial, I'll be creating a new trendy look with silver and black hair color. This edgy and bold hairstyle is perfect for those looking to make a statement with their high-contrast hair.
To achieve this chunky look, we'll be using a few simple techniques to create high-contrast highlights. First, we'll section the hair and apply a lightening product to the desired areas. This will create the light base needed to achieve the silver and black chunky highlights contrast.

@@kearabevels Wow you are lucky. They are so much work, so unpredictable, can be so emotional for both the stylist and the client, AND clients often have unrealistic expectations and don't want to pay the high fees since it takes so much work. They can be very rewarding though if things go right and you can gain a client for life. I have always been mentally, physically and emotionally exhausted from color corrections. Its worse than 9 level lifts and platinum cards.

@@kearabevels I couldn't say because I haven't worked in a salon for years. I do image consultations, private clients and event styling now when I do hair. I've never liked working for people so I changed to working for myself. If you have a good clientele worked up consider the possibility of working for yourself (your own studio, mobile styling, event styling, photography/tv/video) if you can swing it. there is so much good advice and so many ways on TH-cam on how to do that. Otherwise keep looking and I wish you luck that you find a good place 🙂

Can I mix silver hair colour with bleach and developer ? For my black hair ? Also do I need specific hair shampoo to maintain it ? Also do I have to use a toner ?
No. Do not mix anything with bleach. And you can do it throughout multiple sessions. But yes and no it depends on what you have starting out, virgin hair or box color.

Hair looks better but I absolutely hate hate chunky highlights. Nothing towards you it’s just looks so unnatural.
