This sort of hits hard, but for different reasons. When I was in high school, I always hated it when teachers assigned group projects cause no one would ever want to work with me, so I always hoped the teacher would assign us partners instead, but whenever the teacher made us choose our own partners, most of the time, I would tell the teacher I had trouble finding a partner and the teacher would force a student to work with me unless I was allowed to work by myself, which I did for many group projects, and still no one wanted to work with me, which just showed how shallow my classmates were. I actually got higher grades working alone than many groups did working together on the same project did, and still people valued being with their friends more than a higher grade
It’s interesting how years ago I thought Sheldon wasn’t that bad as a kid, but now that he is a teenager, I can’t stand him. Also, my emotions towards Mary haven’t changed, she’s still one of my least favorite characters
Sheldon and mary make the shows so hard to watch, she doesn’t change, she constantly insults her husband and Sheldon does too and that man was an absolute gem who deserved a wife that loved him and appreciated him. Missy Georgie and George and the talented girl smarter than sheldon? They’re great characters with qualities that make them easy to love and understand….sheldon and his hypocritical mother who shoves religion down everyone’s throats and acts holier than thou even though she was a knocked up teenager so she can’t talk…it’s ridiculous. Her face and sheldons face are so punchable, genuinely the anger they stir up in people is understandable they are insufferable, entitled people who think they are better than everyone else so they treat everyone like dirt. The way mary also tries to control the girl Georgie got pregnant too trying to force her to marry him and be religious and raise the kid religiously like yeah look how well that turned out for you! And everyone around you! You have a preacher who chases young women and is a hypocrite, everyone in the church is a hypocrite following a toxic hateful religion, mary who emotionally and almost physically cheating on her husband multiple times, treating her other two kids like dirt, sheldon being an entitled brat while making everyones life around him hell while he gets given things on a golden platter…like sheldon you didn’t suffer when growing up let’s be real here. Everyone around you suffered because of you. This is why both Georgie and Missy do not have a relationship with both mary and sheldom, why would they? They got treated like shit their whole childhood and teenage years by them both.
Sam needed to get off her high horse about the laundry. It wasn't an issue of ability & Mary offered as a gesture of kindness (plus to offset the time & gas driving to her house, I presume). B4 anyone @s me in Sam's defense, remember how excited Sam got over the free food during Sheldon's freshman orientation (plus she had no qualms with Mary's offer to cook for the group study). She can do her own laundry but not cook?

I fon't get why people hate on Mary. She is like your everyday Mother, and there is no right way of parenting, all parents fall short on raising their kids. It feels like people hating on Mary have Mommy issues than just hate of a character. Even if she did have favorites, studies show that many parents have their favorite child, even if they do not mean it. She raised her children as best as she can, and even tried her best to spoil Georgie and Missie
