these walkie talkies use the standard 18650 batteries unlike other walkie talkies available out there. So, you should use 18650 battery as spare. they come very inexpensive and last long. The whites ones in the video are same 18650 batteries from my camera gimbal. I didn't want to buy new ones for the video so I used them instead.

I live in an area with dense vegetation (A lot of trees plus buildings but majority trees). I tested it from my rooftop and the other person stationed 1.5km away could hear me crisp and clear.
