Jason, I just want to say, being a half Chinese living in England and watching you since 10k, I really appreciate everything you have done to showcase the beauty and truth of China. Your production quality has risen substantially and its just amazing to be able to see someone thrive in the country I dream of moving into. Keep up the good work!
I really don't like the editing that mimicks TV shows. The way he invites himself to someone else's party (at the beginning in the park), someone else's table (in the restaurant, where he tries something he clearly doesn't like) or at the very end where he gets a drink and leaves without paying, is, to say the least, weird. It seems the whole show is about him. Plus some obvious mistakes, like when he says the guys play "chess" (it was go, of course). The best part was the errors, that part was genuine.
3:30, If you walk into a group of young kids interacting with them in Central Park, NYC like you're doing here in Chengdu, you may get into big trouble. Glad to see how friendly and care-free the residents and the kids are in Chengdu. Life is good. That is why Western media won't show this.
