    Yes I agree. I do splits routines just to increase recovery between muscle groups maintaining the weekly frequency, because I like to train.

    • @JayVincentFitness

      David Enriquez also a good reason to do split routines. More recovery.

    Thanks for sharing Jay. I agree with what you said here, however I do think the reason you don't enjoy training anymore is because HIT isn't fun at all. The same thing happened to me when I trained that way. Now, doing full body 3 times a week, I love training, and honestly get the same, if not better results.

    • @JayVincentFitness
      @JayVincentFitness  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Moniemon7 that’s exactly right. HIT is so intense that it’s just miserable. Back when I began training I enjoyed it because I spent a lot of time just standing around and not training intensely.

      @@JayVincentFitness I agree, that's why rest periods have to be timed for good results. You have a hell of a physique for a natty either way.

    do you recommend doing additional isolation exercises for muscles u have bad genetics in? por example, is it beneficial to do additional triceps and bicep movements if your arms are on the smaller side?

  • @aliendroneservices6621
    @aliendroneservices6621 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    If doing full-body, Drew Baye recommends keeping a record of the training order so one can change the order. Later exercises will naturally be less intense, so the order is never changed, some exercises will never be performed at maximum intensity.

    Hi Jay,
    What do you think about the sequence of each exercise, is it important? For instance, pecs, shoulders, triceps in sequence then chin ups, lats and curl...

    Good morning Jay. I go to work at 7:30 and do my workouts in A.M. I workout at home with only pair of 20s, one 30 lb. kettle bell and bodyweight. I'm 59 yrs old been working out since 15. Is the H.I.T. workouts that you do safe for me and is it good idea to do quick easy workouts 2 days a week( like Tuesday and Thursday) then do my high intensity workout Saturday..

    When doing your full body routine, do you do the same programe for 6 weeks than change the programe or you circle your fullbody routine with 3 different programes?

    • @JayVincentFitness
      @JayVincentFitness  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      francis daoust nope. I don’t stick to a “program”. This seems silly to me. I just have a couple of routines; A,B,C,D... each of them address all major muscles groups. I’ll just casually rotate between them

      @@JayVincentFitness nice , when I was doing a 6 weeks fullbody program , i get strong on those muscle but when i cycle back 6 week later, it was too long of a rest for me as I lost strength. I will try to have multiple A B C D programes and change every workout to see. Thank you

    Hi Jay,
    Lately I’ve moved to Mike Mentzer’s consolidation routine: chest press, pulldown and a leg press once a week. Your thoughts?

    • @JayVincentFitness
      @JayVincentFitness  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Murray Knox that’s a great approach if you’re an advanced trainee and don’t recovery very quickly. How do you feel after the workout? Do you feel completely spent or that you have some left in the tank? I don’t think that would be optimal for bodybuilding and developing the most muscular physique, but certainly a great time efficient approach for overall improvements in health, strength etc.

    Hey Jay. Thanks for all your content. Question: What are your thoughts about HIT style bodyweight training. I train upper body bodyweight. Legs weights. Greetz

    • @JayVincentFitness
      @JayVincentFitness  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jelle Wierda bodyweight training is excellent. You can get one hell of a workout with body weight exercises if done properly. I personally love a bodyweight Dip exercise and chin up opposed to a pull down. Feels much more intense. But I’m also 210lbs so that makes a difference.

      @@JayVincentFitness Thanks Jay. For your response. I noticed that, searching the internet, you are one of the few guys who are really well defeloped muscle wise with hit training. In opposite a lot of other guys that are big but never did hit training. How come? When I look at some as Doug mcGuff he is nog looking like he's working out to my opinion. In other words I know the after a hit workout but I doupt it a good way to build muscle. Could you respond to that pleas. Regards. Jelle

    • @JayVincentFitness
      @JayVincentFitness  5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Jelle Wierda ah yes. Common question. The reason is simple; genetics. Genetics are the main factor in an impressive physique. Those who have good genetics for building an impressive physique will find that almost anything they try works for them. People who end up discovering HIT have usually tried many different training styles and stumbled upon HIT through research because what they have tried in the past didn’t work. People with great genetics generally never needed to do much research to find a method of training that worked for them. I’m a rare case. I’ll do a video on this. Stay tuned.

      @@JayVincentFitness Jay. Thanks again for replying to my comment. It shows your experience because you are right. I'm indeed searching the internet for information due to the lack of muscle I build even though I put in the hard effort. I guess I'm not genetically gifted to build muscle. Is there a way to break the genetic restriction and finally put on some size? ;-).

    what are your stats? weight and height? I'm currently doing a split routine and really like it. I do Chest, shoulder, tricep, back and bicep, legs and abs. I do each workout about once every 7 to 9 days and I take at least a day off between workouts. I'll do 2 exercises for shoulder, one set each, 2 exercises for chest, one set each and one or two exercise for triceps with one set to complete failure.

      You should adjust your volume and frequency based on your individual ability to recover and adapt to the workout. I don’t schedule workouts within a 7 day time frame. I train every 3rd or 4th day.

  • @achieveidealweighify
    @achieveidealweighify 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    If you’re training every 7 to 8 days that is insufficient that makes zero sense. You’re better off doing a split routine if that’s the case if you’re going to train a particular muscle every 7 to 8 days. I’ve won plenty of powerlifting competitions and even bodybuilding when I was a young man without steroids and I did high-volume not that stupid HIT crap that’s being put out there today

      @JayVincentFitness  5 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Jim Wnek awh. You’re one of those feminine, excuse driven losers who has to blame everyone and everything besides himself for why he didn’t accomplish something. It must be the gear. Every athlete better than you MUST be on gear. Because that has to be why you suck and they don’t. It can’t possibly be that they’re gifted and you’re not. Everyone with a physique better than yours MUST be on gear. MUST be training three hours a day. There MUST be some advantage they have that you can’t have because that has to be the explanation for your poor genetics and ignorance on training. People like you will always be underachieving, whining, bitchy women who never take responsibility. Take this advice at least; take the most impressive anabolic cycle you can dream of and come back to me when your physique still resembles a 35 year old accountant. Or, stop being butthurt like a 20 year old college liberal arts student and crying because my advice doesn’t match what you originally believed. And then maybe you’ll start heading in the right direction.

    • @JayVincentFitness
      @JayVincentFitness  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jim Wnek after you do all that, I’d like you to explain the physiological process which muscle tissue is generated. And then, I want you to explain how “time” affects this. When maybe we can see why a 45 minute leg workout is better than a 15 minute leg workout.
