AS AN (BLACK) AFRICAN -AMERICAN I HAVE BEEN SEEING THE WRITING ON THE WALL 🧱 SINCE 2012 TO GET OUT OF BABYLON (THE UNITED STATES 🇺🇸). BECAUSE I BELIEVE THAT BABYLON IS IS FALLING. (AND BESIDES THE MASSIVE AND NEVER ENDING POLITICAL AND SOCIAL UNREST AND ANXIETY).
Y'all continue to inspire. I just made the move to Mexico City LAST NIGHT and already today I have so many strangers that are embracing me (and my dog that I dragged with me). It's been very odd and surreal and supernatural. My move was not perfect; I have a house that has been for sale and for rent for a few months with no activity (I live in a saturated real estate market), but I gave away all my belongings anyways, and made the move. I have a full time remote job and the election solidified my decision to get out of the US while the getting is good. This has been the scariest but oddly enough most peaceful decision I have made in my 46 years of living.
I absolutely love this video! Thank you so much for all of the information on why people are moving abroad. After being abroad for 6 months, we are preparing to make it permanent. ♥️
You guys did a great job with these testimonials. Freedom is possible, in all age groups. This was just awesome 👏🏽 👏🏽. Revising my “List”. The world is too big; I don’t have to stay in one place. Thank you, Yarbros for letting me know that. 🙏🏽
I have lived in Germany for the past 3 years. I spent alot of time in Portugal. If I can get my consultancy then, I would go to Lisbon. I’m moving back to CA for now. Awaiting my next visa
THIS video was absolutely amazing. I could have watched this for an hour. LOL. While Im currently still working my 9-5 in the U.S., I am so ready to move aboard. Im currently with the government and If I find a job overseas, Im out and that will catapult my decision to live my remaining time overseas. Johannesburg, SA is high on my list.
Thank you so much! We’re so glad you enjoyed the video! Johannesburg is an amazing choice-it’s such a vibrant city with so much culture and opportunity. Wishing you all the best with securing a job overseas!

Same story here! We left NYC for France in 2017 but our final destination will be South Africa. My wife and I are 40, my kids 7, 15, 16 so France is good now coz we are closer to Africa and we are making good money. The goal is to retire at 50 in South Africa so we have been traveling to Cape Town once a year looking at purchasing a home

I'm new here but I'm hoping you have or will do expats living in the Caribbean (especially my home country Barbados), to see what their experience has been.
This is a great video. For the last few years, I have thought about moving abroad. I do not know if I will, but I have considered it. Anyway, this was great hearing about the experiences of folks who moved away from the United States.
I moved to Tanzania unexpectedly because it was not my original destination. covid got me to this country and I've traveled to 4 other countries but still searching for my permanent place. Its a no to S. Africa and Ethiopia and the other place were inland land lock countries so those were also a no for me.
Great video! I’m planning my exit in the next 3-5 years. What wasn’t mentioned was if any of these families plan to or already renounced their US citizenship? And as a US citizen living abroad, don’t you still have to file income taxes and report income to the US government?
None of the expats plan of renouncing their citizenship as far as i know. In fact 2 of the expats have residency in multiple countries. Yes you still have to pay your taxes but there are more loopholes that apply to people who live outside of the US. Keep planning it is critical for success abroad!
It’s one thing being Black in a Black nation in Africa but it’s another thing living in a country where people don’t recognize you as their own race. If a conflict comes up you will be alone and surrounded with no representation other than your embassy. Good Luck, not to let African countries off the hook if you are of a different ethnic group no one will give you the benefit of the doubt in,Esi’s you can pay your way out of the situation. Westerners just have to have self love and stop taking their wealth for granted. I just gained citizenship in Ghana but I still heavily rely on the U.S. economy
@ Even with Regrets you have to overcome. I went through something most people fear, I can judge what I went through as a fail. What do they say if you not failing you not doing anything. Before the wins come you must fail. Now that I sit here in the U.S. I’m cheating this place like most immigrants do, just send money back, build assets and prepare for the final exit
I agree with the sister in SA do not tell anyone in the US you are planning to move abroad. You can tell your friend who already moved :) I did not tell a soul 4.5 years ago.
😂😂😂😂😂The baboon story!! Amen to the couple that said "don't tell nobody!" Everytime I get excited and tell my friends and family about my plans of traveling the world to determine where I may land I run in to negativity and fear mongering. The number one comment is how unsafe everywhere else is. I'm like "What!!!". I was born and raised in DC. You know, where they used to refer to it as "city under siege". 😅😅😅😅 I am going to mother Africa to visit my first country of The Gambia in one week to stay with a college friend. South Africa is at the top of my list though or somewhere in South America. I am so excited for those in the diaspora who have taken the leap of faith. I know that you were discouraged. Wish me luck y'all!!
