Prime rib is my favorite in the world. I don't have it often. The last time I had it was probably 1015 years ago. This right here made my mouth water. I would eat all that.
Good deal. I trim mine cold, then dry brine in my extra frig on a rack for 3 days b4 I smoke mine. 1890's infused oils are convenient for me to get locally, so I normally use garlic I fused oil from them but I made garlic confit in particular this year for my prime rib so that oil is my binder.
That looks damn perfect AB. Here’s a little extra thing I do that maybe others will like as much as me: whenever I get the bone-in roast like this I do the exact same thing as AB before cooking, cut the bones off and then tie them back on; it’s just way easier to remove them after the cook by doing this beforehand. But I’ll pull my roast a little earlier, maybe 125 in the middle and then crank the grill as high as possible (while the meat rests about 10-15 min) and throw the roast and bones face down on the heat. I do about 2 minutes on the roast and 1 minute on the bones to build a crust on that side where they were connecting. It just adds one more side of bark to enjoy; it’s especially nice on those bones.

Beautiful we like it rare to medium rare . Take out when center is 125. Tent 15- 20 minutes . I absolutely love prime rib! Back in the day Mountain Jacks and Victoria Station had the bomb huge bone in cut an inch maybe more of chuck end or the lean end that melt in your mouth 🤗 Herbs De’ Provence mixed in garlic butter and rubbed all over S&P it but A B has changed that up perfectly!

I don't eat very much red meat, so I don't cook it that much. Throwing down with prime rib for Christmas. I've new cooked this and its going in a pellet grill. I'm having mine pre seasoned, I'll check to see if its been trimmed and cut. I'm going to put cast iron plates down and sear it first, then inject my three berry with cranberry mead into the meat. Thanks for your easy walkthrough.
Brotha man brotha man…………… you killed it with this one. Only thing I did different was after I cut the bone off I filleted the meat and seasoned the inside as well then butcher twinned it all up
