sounds really nice. i've been lookin' at your elektron performances for a while and wanted to ask for some small advice on how to get into the workflow and make music with the devices. i got a syntakt and digitakt 1 but can't seem to come up with anything particularly cool, how do you come up with these patterns?

Solid as usual .... since you have the digitakt II , didn't you stopped using the syntakt ? this is , as a owner of syntakt , what scares me lol if i jump on a digitakt II

Thank you! Unfortunately I sold my Syntakt a while back. At the time I had made over an hour of music with the Syntakt, and came to the conclusion that I didn't gel with the Machines workflow. I like the speed I get from having different machines that focus on different types of sounds, but I do prefer having access to all the synth parameters, because it's easier to make it sound like "me".
As for getting a Digitakt 2, it's really fun! You don't have the same sort of flexibility with samples as you have with the synth engines on the Syntakt, but I like working with the Digitakt 2 (and 1) better :)

I have to be honest, I am a bit sad that the old digitakt is gone... ☹️ The most fun I had with mine was loading your songs onto it and listening to your music "from the source" while analysing what you did there. I won't sell the old digitakt because I have never sold gear in my life until now and I am stupidly emotionally attached to it... 🤷 However, I also can't justify buying the digitakt 2. It sounds massive in your hands, by the way! I don't know if it is the stereo that makes it sound fuller or if it's just my imagination... 😳 I would really really appreciate it if you put out a new album (especially with the digitakt 2 stuff). There's the option to listen to your music in my car via patreon but it is much less convenient than Spotify, for example... So please, soothe my pain and put out an album! 😭

I'd be interested to know as well.
I had the 1 and always regretted getting rid of it a couple of years ago. I was shopping for a used 1 recently when they released the 2 and I couldn't resist it. I absolutely love it, but not sure it's really worth double the price of a used 1. If you're just using it as a self-contained groove box with nothing else, it probably is considering it's double the tracks and stereo.
