Δήλωση του Μίκη Θεοδωράκη για το μουσικό άλμπουμ με τα τραγούδια της ταινίας "State Of Siege"
Τις μερες των Χριστουγρνων το 1972 τις περασαμε με τον Κωστα Γαβρα και τους μουσικους σ'ένα στουντιο στο Παρισι, ηχογραφοντας τη μουσικη του φιλμ "Κατασταση Πολιορκιας". Η παρουσια Του Σκηνοθετη καθ'ολη τη διαρκεια της φωνοληψιας σημαινει ότι υπηρξε απολυτος συμφωνος για το υφος και το χαρακτιρα της μουσικης.
Στο φιλμαυτο. Εκτος από τους μουσικους της ορχιστρας μου, χρησιμοποιησα και τους Χιλιανους "Los Calchakis". Κι αυτό γιατι ειδα το φιλμ σαν μια πτυχη του επους του αγωνα των Νοτιοαμερικανων εναντιον του βορειοαμερικανικου ιμπεριαλισμου και των μεθοδων του.....

We spend Christmas of 1973 with Costas Gavras and the musicians in a studio in Paris recording the film score for "State of Siege". The director's presence throughout the entire recording process indicates that he was completely agreeable to the style and character of the music.
Apart from my own musician I also used the Chilean group "Los Calchakis" in the film, as I saw it as an aspect of the epic struggle South Americans were waging against North American imerialism and its methods.....
