    Also can you make a tutorial on how to model the pattern on ps5 controller's thumbstick??

  • @C4Dsoul
    @C4Dsoul ปีที่แล้ว

    In this part of the tutorial - 20:20 - , you gave the model a few cuts to solve the stretching problem and then unwrapped it. Sometimes, because our model has a special pattern in the texturing , we have to unwrap the model without cutting, which creates cut lines and gaps. Don't mess up our texture. For example, suppose our texture is a floral pattern. I always have this problem in modeling. I also referred to RizomUV software, but I did not find a solution for it. Can you talk a little about this issue?

    • @polygonpen
      @polygonpen  ปีที่แล้ว

      You should use projection if you don't want any seams, even if you have cuts on the UVs, with projection you will be fine, so try to unwrap your object as accurate and as relaxed as possible than use for example Substance pPinter to project your texture.

    Hello, can you tell me where is that window on your layout (the window that you can click unwrap uv button) how can i see that window? i dont have any window like this and i dont have any unwrap button... i am using R20 is that a problem?
    İngilizcem berbat o yüzden kendim de sorayım dedim. Ortada unwrap yaptığın pencereye nereden ulaşabilirim? R20'de böyle bir pencere yok ve açılacak bir yer de göremedim. Cinema4d'nin yeni sürümlerinde olan bir pencere mi sadece? Eski sürümlerinde böyle bir işlem yapmanın bir yolu var mı? Teşekkürler şimdiden

    Hey guys. I have got a problem, could u help me? I am doing label for beer bottle. I made a uv map, saved it and created a label. Downloaded it in the material texture and it fits perfectly, nothing stretched or distorted. The problem is it’s blurred on the bottle, however in the texture uv editor it looks clear. I tried to save texture in small resolution like 2045 pixels, bigger one 4089 pixels and remade the label couple of times, result is same , it is blurred on the object. What could be the reason of it? Thanks

    • @polygonpen

    • @irynahadzhan6218

      @@polygonpen yes, I tried to save it as jpg and psd. Also made a label in png to make a transparent background. Is it wrong?

    • @polygonpen
      @polygonpen  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@irynahadzhan6218 Transparent backgrounds don't work well, a separate black and white alphas texture work much better.
      I haven't experienced such problem, there might be a bug, you can try to create a new scene and render it out one more time.

    In C4D R19 I could in a very intuitive way do what was the BASE for pretty much anything. Change the scale of the UV's of an object. You clicked on "texture mode", plus rescale mode that is the extremely general tool there at all time. And, MIRACLE, it DID change the scale. NOW all it does is move some strange axe and if the values are the same, it simply stay at scale 1 whatever what. WHY did they completely destroy such a needed and intuitive and central part of every workflow??? 3D is over for me. End of a 10 years adventure all because they did that strange crap.
