    Rebel base reveal is only when Imperial ground units are deployed or Empire gains loyalty in that system. Not just entering the system.

      Thanks for the clarification, Mike!

      No problem!!! It makes it more tense, I played and flew through the Rebel base 3 times but never landed troops. My friend was terrified of me landing and finding him. He was right next to Coruscant too so I had to fly through.

      @@indianajo883 I have also put my forces right next to Coruscant, but Imperial happened to draw probe cards of basically every remote far away planet, he went to a couple others, then went "huh, I wonder if he just put a guy next to me" and found me :(

      A bit misleading... the Rules state: If the Imperial player ever has loyalty or ground units
      in the same system as the Rebel base, the Rebel base is
      immediately revealed. When Imperial ground units ENTER (capital letters by me)
      the system, the base is revealed before resolving a combat. DEPLOYING as stated in the rules is placing units after production in a system which has a) loyalty (or is subjugated) and b) no enemy units.

    I do wish that you added a section on the Team Game variants, but beyond that bravo. You executed the series with exceptional clarity and visualization.

    The starting hand is created by the 4 starting missions plus 2 drawn from the mission deck (i.e. the starting hand is 6 mission cards)

    Thank you for such great tutorials. Your narrative approach with clear graphics and visuals are vastly more usefull than the typical poorly lit and hollow sound most other videos have. Plus the added benefit ( to me) that your game selection is almost exclusively games I own. Might I ask what region of the country ( if USA) or world you are in?

      Obviously, you have impeccable taste in games! I live in the Chicago suburbs. Originally, from Oregon on the West Coast. Stuck here in the Midwestern U.S. because the job here pays the bills. Someday, I'd like to live on the West Coast again. Maybe after my kids graduate. I do get a little tired of the winters here.

    Correction: There can only be 15 game rounds. End of the round 15 will automaticly end the game.

    Hi, thanks for the wonderful explanation! Super useful. Just to clarify, can the Empire side - capture another leader after they have already captured one? Is there a limit?

    • @harsh-rules
      @harsh-rules  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Page 03 of the rules reference: "If a second leader is captured, the first leader is rescued, and
      the captured ring is attached to the new leader"

    You may have answered this somewhere else, but what are the music tracks you use at start and end of your vids? Thanks. Love your clear tutorials.

      LOL! It's Wagner. Watch the Channel Update for more info.

      @Matt_Rowson 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha! just wached channel update. Sorry - should have checked there first. I thought it was Wagner :) I'm always on the lookout for music for board gaming - I'm a weird person who has an individualised soundtrack for each board game I play, combining classical, classical movie soundtracks, occassional other songs and ambience. Thanks again for your vids. I just bought Twilight Imperium and found your 3 part tutorial VERY VERY helpful - subscribed.

    Unrelated comment: What is that song at the very end? I totally recognize it, but can't for the life of me figure out what movie it's from.

    • @harsh-rules
      @harsh-rules  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's the "Wedding March" from Richard Wagner's Opera Lohengrin. I'm pretty sure you've heard the latter part of the piece if you ever attended a wedding. The section used as the outro to this video is also very famous.

    • @ericfolsom2411

      @@harsh-rules haha, of course I've heard that song. I can't believe it didn't click. I honestly thought it was a movie from a few decades ago.
