Respect and inspiring, this man is 82 and still at it too, sometimes I wonder if I see myself still practicing Karate (Kyokushin) when I reach that age!

I guess you just shouldn't think about it. You just practice your art by the day, by the minute even, and let time do the rest. Now, you being in kyokushin, if you want longevity in your practice I wouldn't recommend competing past a certain age as the damage your body can take would actually have a reversing effect on the positive health benefits you have obtained from your karate. Cheers and stay healthy my friend.

Simple, cause they spent their years in the ring, and with that comes injuries, with masters like higaonna, they obviously never fought in the ring (and doesn't need to prove himself either)

@@jacksongents4993 I'm talking about him killing a tiger, I find that part very very hard to swallow, and the fact that you believe that says a bit about you, no matter how good of a martial artist you are, there is no way anyone could kill a 500 pound tiger with just your hands and feet (unless it was toothless or clawless)!

You can search for Irikumi Go, you will see the students of these masters making full contact, but you probably don't understand the difference between sport and martial art, Most of these moves were in combat manuals geared towards war, so I can assure you that they were used not in a ring, but on a BATTLEFIELD, for example, to kill enemies with bare hands

Goju Ryu is the most practical old style, you literally don't understand how much power those punches carry or how hard those fists are after all that conditioning take that from someone who is a blackbelt in Goju Ryu and fault early MMA and beat the hell out of those guys too. You've either never trained or are a noob.
