Used to own one of these. The GS500 is very reliable and an excellent all-rounder. Does everything you want a good bike to do for a very fair price.

I just hit thirty thousand miles on my GS500E still going strong. Very mechanically sound looks wise rough but i love it will never get rid of it.

Got one from 93, bought it with 30.000km and now not half a year later Im at 35000. Was the cheapest bike around that was still in pristine condition. Bought it for a 1000 euros and after putting another 300 in it for a new tire, chain set (+1 tooth in the front, dropped rpm a little under 500), oil, filters and led bulb. Cleaned and synched the carb as well since I was already there to replace the air filter. Carb was squeaky clean and barely needed to be synched. Parts are easy to get and cheap.
Besides a very occasional cam knock sub 1500rpm, which is apparently a very common issue and supposedly doesn't hurt the engine, its honestly like new. Havent met anyone that wasnt surprised that it was from 1993.
Compeletly agree with the review in the video, I have the clipons and the cornering is extremely easy. While it has plenty of power for the highway its not extremely comfortable. What I would add is that it is a little cramped if youre 1,95m

I agree. I just purchased a 2004 GS500F in Suzuki blue, black, and pearly-ish white accents - the launch model colors. It looks and sounds excellent. 👍

Aw nice!! Fairings still in good shape too? That color scheme is the best one they did in my opinion.

use the tripmeter. Tank has about 11 liters before hitting reserve. I fill up at 250, takes 10 liters
