      Var and the referees difficulty in interpretating an incident stood out again with the referee looking at the James 'kick out' at Brighton. It was farcical seeing him have to look at it over a dozen times before making a decision .... overthinking at it's best.

    The problem isn't just var. It's the way it's being implemented. Give 8 seconds then on an offside to draw the lines if it can't be done and looks too tight advantage should go to the striker.
    Too many decisions going down to how long someone's hair is is ridiculous.
    1)Advantage to the attacker on offside.
    2) serious foul play incidents reviewed In the background and let play go or let ref see the screen and make judgement even on yellow card incidents
    3) any incident not clear and obvious let the on field ref look at it without being funneled Into overturning every decision.
    4) activate audio so the fans in the stadium and out can know what's going on. Believe me the world will let the ref know if they've made an obvious error.
    5) remove the slow motion , it's not a true representation of the pace of the game. Let ref see it all in real time on pitch and off screen.
    How hard is it to implement those points?

    What is Shaka on about???? VAR cost Liverpool *MINIMALLY* 10 points and changed the entire title to hand it to Man City with multiple PGMOL apologies. Luton complained pre-match that the VAR official was against them, and ridiculous miss, and now they're relegated. Shaka this is by far the dumbest thing I've ever heard you say.

    The consistency is the main problem and always has been. 100's and 100's of examples where a foul or penalty or red card is given or not given using VAR and then in another game with different VAR and refs and the exact same thing doesnt get given... all fans of all clubs have experienced this. Have to get the rules and facts of what is and what isnt pen, red, foul or whatever and make it the same for every game every week.

    Give both teams 3 challenges (like tennis and cricket). And only the captain can challenge. That way teams will think hard about whether they truly believe they have been wronged. And only a few incidents will go to VAR.

    It's not implemented correctly in Europe and especially not England. "Clear and obvious". It must always be clear and obvious to overturn it. With the human eye not all those offsides lines that are mathematically flawed.
    The whole point is to address fans at home that can watch the slow motion replay and say, "OMG that was clearly wrong, they need to fix it." Anything else the refs should be allowed to do their job on the field.

  • @MikeC77
    @MikeC77 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

    The problem is there is a lack of trust in officials. Newcastle clearly had a penalty, everyone could see it in the replay. There is no way the VAR guys couldn't see it either. The scrutiny and technology has made trust drop because they must have known.

  • @brandonhall5615
    @brandonhall5615 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

    This is beyond absurd. Anyone arguing that VAR should be scrapped is either too young to remember when officials FUCKED UP matches REGULARLY or are not able to understand that the technology/training/implementation just needs tweaking. We are better off now than we were. Stop claiming the only solution is a regression.

    Scrap VAR referee’s! VAR referee’s have damaged the game with dubious and inconsistent decisions. A lot of contradictions and post-match Galllagher/Webb explanations are taking fans as fools. Should only be one referee, only automated VAR should be used (when it’s ready), which calls the referee to pitch side screen. VAR referee’s are ones spoiling the beautiful game…if it wasn’t for VAR it’s highly likely we would have seen a different champion this year.

    I think VAR use should be eliminated for the offside rule only. You really don’t know if you are in an offside position even if it looks like you are next to the defender. And then you are assessed as being offside by a toenail. Players cannot learn from that as it is not feasible to do so. I would live with the inaccuracy. The VAR on offsides disrupts the flow of the game.
    The other situations are not as disruptive (penalty kicks and red cards) and they are correctly used.
