Manchester City wanted to sign Sachez and Maguire. Where did they end up and at what price? Manchester City wanted Declan Rice. Where did he end up at? Manchester City wanted Jorghino. Where did he end up at? I can go on and on. These players whom City wanted you want to tell me they were cheaper than City players? Somebody like Bernardo Silva was in the same Monaco team with Fabhino, Bakayako and Mbappe. Go look at the money City paid for Bernardo Silva if it was far more than Chelsea paid for Bakayako or Liverpool paid for Fabhino. The thing is that you buy a player who fits your game plan. Look at Arsenal bought Trossard because they couldn't get Mudryk and the outcome is day and night. There’s no way this Arsenal team isn’t picking up silverware over the next three seasons, including the Premier League. City are a juggernaut but this is a team that has what it takes to keep pushing them every season. The squad’s almost there and if they can bring in 1-2 quality signings - a backup for Saka, an additional LB, and probably an outright striker - they’re definitely keeping up a fight every season. Great season, dragged it to the last day, and there’s so much to look forward to. COYG and congrats to City, what an incredible benchmark to meet.
