Hi Tina What lovely sock patterns you have there and I am sure you will do them all at some stage, I am going to download a couple of them to put on my list for 2023. I like the idea of the DK ones knitted in 2 colour 4ply sock yarn and see what comes out. Have a great weekend See you again tomorrow Take care Amanda from Lincolnshire xxxx🧦🧦
Since you taught me to knit socks, I kept to plain vanilla ones. But, I do fancy branching out. I like all of the ones you showed, but maybe the Library socks. Thanks, another great vlog. 😊
Oh Tina, I can hardly make socks until I see some brass or copper ones, I have gone and broken at least 1 out of my sets.. I must learn to relax and not strangle the yarn to death.
Thanks for this list. There are so many I want to knit! I have knit The Crazy Sock Lady’s DK sock. Love the pattern, and a wonderful canvas for a pattern sock.
I have just casted on the Monkey socks but switching All Purl stichess too Knit. I also have been wanting to do the Woodland Socks ❤️❤️ and now have inspiration for more thankyou for your lovely video. And hello from Australia 😅❤️
Hi Tina: I loved your podcast. I have knitted several vanilla socks and I do like self-striping yarn, but will try something very subtle for the lace. Thank you for all your choices.
Hi Tina!Don't know whether this will help you with your knitted fox,but Linda Eld on you tube is very good at showing how she knitted her animals! Enjoying seeing all your plans ... encouraging to all of us !Thanks again!!xx
Thanks for all the sock ideas!! But I’m really curious about the sweater your wearing!! It looks amazing and I just love how the brioche fades the colors!
Some of these are in my queue but most were not on my radar. Thanks so much for highlighting these lovely patterns. I can't wait to see how yours turn out.
I knit the Woodland Walk socks and I did them in green too! I think they were on my very first podcast. I've added some more patterns thank to seeing them here...I don't know whether to thank you lol! X
Hi Tina 🥰many thanks for sharing your 2023 socks patterns. Like you I normally just knit a plain sock and let the yarn shine....However seeing your patterns I think I am going to branch out and try and knit some fancy socks...Thank you 🥰x
Hello from Georgia, USA. I made 2 pairs of socks and have a third on my needles now. They are all the vanilla pattern. I wanted to try another pattern and you have given me so many good options to choose from. I am enjoying Vlogmas! Thank you for all the content.
Excellent video. I did not knit for the summer and then went and got a part-time job and had other projects going on plus I had started also making soap. So life is so busy. I want to make some more socks for sure with hats and cowls too. This is the first time I have watch you and you will definitely be on my list. Very fun video to watch!
What a lovely lot of socks! I’d like to try most of them but especially, having worked in one, the library socks; the plane socks and the mosaics. I think I’ll wait till you have knitted them so you can give me tips! I find you so enthusiastic and encouraging, Tina, so thankyou. ❤
Perfect timing Tina. I’ve been looking at dk sock patterns etc for inside wellies & dog walking. My problem is choosing the right yarn, plain or variegated, to suit the pattern. Your tips have really helped. Thank you ❤. Plus I’m going to have to splash out on several pairs of new needles, but maybe that’s what birthdays are for 😘. Also found a yarn shop! Practically right next to Gloucester cathedral. O many happy days planned for 2023!! 😂. Enjoy your day 🎄
Oh Tina, you read my mind! I am planning to branch out of vanilla territory with my sock knitting and this video is just what I wanted. You produce such great content. I have knit Crazy Sock Ladies DK socks and love them. I make the leg a bit longer and marl 2 yarns together. The results are always a nice surprise. 🇨🇦💕🙂
I've made the Easy Mosaic Socks and they were SO fun to knit and they look incredible! I used WYS Milk Bottle and Bluebell Mist. I have more yarn ready to make more of these.
How did I miss your video yesterday 🤷♀️. “Winwick mum works with West Yorkshire Spinners. “Say that 3 times fast 🤣. Just kidding, another great vlog. I’ll be interested to see those knit up thru the year, will be watching 👀 closely 🤣
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS HELPFUL VIDEO. I’m 73 and about to knit my first pair of socks. Im sorting out gage as i decided to watch the video. What is the normal gage for 4 ply sock knitting yarn? Thanks
Thanks heaps for sharing these cool socks! I was wondering if you would consider making a video tutorial of one of the pattern where you are using a new technique? I still use your socks tutorials from way back as they are amazingly well done and for very visual learners like me, these are a pure bliss. Thanks heaps for considering. A safe and healthy 2023 to you and your love ones 🥰
Tgank you Tina for sharing those amazing patterns they all seem really great for beginners an advanced 👏 always a pleasure to see what your knitting up can't wait to see your fox when she's all done happy holidays an knitting
I’ve just bought some sock wool, plain and self stripe, having seen your vlogs. Never knitted socks before, but you have inspired me to do so. Was going to go back to your tutorial for my first pair. Hope I get on ok as I like the look of the ones you have just shown. I think the first pair were my favourite.
I have yet to try knitting socks in the round. I have made 2 pairs on straights and they are very addictive and so much warmer to wear than shop bought socks! I may give the dk vanilla socks a go, I've got plenty of yarn oddments to use up. They could be my "cosy" socks! Loving watching your vlogmas. Thank you for taking the time to share all of this with us.
I keep saying I want to knit socks but I haven't tried yet (I have needles and wool!). I might have to make a new years resolution to make socks in 2023! Great selection of socks, I look forward to seeing you make them 🧦
Merry Christmas Tina. Can’t thank you enough for presenting all these sock patterns to your viewers. I was planning to knit a pair of socks a month in 2023 using your daily schedule in December 2022’s KAL.
I didn't think of keeping to that timetable for next year . That sounds like a great plan . Good luck with your sock knitting, I will be joining you with the plan 😁
Hi Tina, I am from South Africa and just love watching your videos. In fact I have knitted 3 jumpers and cardigan just watching you. Please can you do a video on Vanilla socks using double knit yarn, I have tried following another video but struggled. My daughter in the UK has begged for socks in DK and I would love it if I can follow one of your videos. Merry Christmas and blessed New Year to you and family in cold UK from Sunny South Africa. 😊 my daughter loves her life in the UK.
Still working on finishing the Christmas eve socks in a West Yorkshire spinner ball I have. I think I can make it. Have you ever tried to put a 2x2 ribbing in the arch of the foot for a short 2 inches to make the socks hug in more? Its's awesome.
No I haven't, that's interesting. I've noticed that on bought shortie cotton socks I wear in the summer. I have a high arch so not suitable for me but good to know if anyone asks me about better fit on a narrow foot 😁
Wow that was a tongue twister for sure 😂. I’ve knit the Cozy Autumn socks in a fiery red/orange stripe colour way and love them. I know I also have the Woodland Walk ones printed and waiting to be made and I also love your idea for the DK weight socks… that will look really nice 🙂
I've the same goal in mind! I'd like to possibly knit a sock a month this upcoming year. It's hard to decide with so many fantastic free sock patterns up on ravelry. I just realized I have both patterns from This Handmade Life saved under my sock category on ravelry, I'm for sure doing the Woodland Walk socks in 2023... think i'm about to make a list soon of the 12 socks i'd like to work up.
Currently working on a pair of dk wt vanilla socks I've made them before and use them as bedsocks ! They are a bit looser than desired so I've done the cuff as per direction and I'm switching to a smaller needle size to do the heel and foot I think that will work as I've larger ankles We shall see ! The yarn is a marled raspberry and pink . I found it at the thrift shop for .98 cents US I bought the same type at the LYS for $7 US previously !
I have done 3 on your list, I want to make more DK socks they are so quick to make. I have made DK socks, socks on a plane and the library socks (I was a beginner at the time.) so theses are very easy patterns
Great sock patterns Tina! I would love to try this Handmade Life pattern but the size for that pattern is a medium and I knit my socks in a size small. I have been enjoying your vlogmas videos so much!
Hi Tina, I have knit the DK vanilla sock by the Crazy Sock Lady (Kay) and it is a very good pattern. Most of my successful sock knitting has been using her patterns and watching her videos. I recently tried the holding two fingering weight yarns together and I believe that would be a great choice for you with this pattern. I like the DK weight socks the best. Thanks for all the smiles and information you put in your videos. Happy Holidays, Diana/Ohio/USA
