I wonder if we are going to go through the Sonic Battle arc, or skip straight to the Shadow the Hedgehog arc. I can see many possibilities between this version of Metal Sonic and Emeral.

"that way no matter the outcome, their ledger will be balanced" oh my goddd I don't know why, but this small bit of character from Metal just sounds so *good* since it ties back into his first fight with Gamma, this time Metal proposing the logic to what is basically Gamma's successor 😭😭
Oh! Im just now understanding that Metal's personality was inside of the Metal Commander. I thought his body was just somewhere in the fleet. Makes more sense how Gamma came back. So basically Eggman's hubrous made him lose again. If he had just deleted Metal's data instead of torturing him, Metal couldn't have made a comeback, distracting the Commander in the real world. Gotcha.
