Orziba Wreck Dive

Orziba Wreck Dive - 18 May 2024
Max depth 11.4m, dive time 66min.
First dive at the Orziba Wreck off Rockingham.
We found much of the main structures (I think) and then did a big loop around the exterior to see scattered bits of the wreck and the surrounding reef. This was a great dive, the ocean life has embraced the wreck so well, at times it was hard to tell what was reef and what was wreck.
Best part of the dive was Viv and I being followed for quite some distance by a huge school of curious footballer sweeps. I was elated that they thought we were worth following for some reason, looking at us up close in the eye, seemingly with no fear. That was remarkable.
