    Thanks for doing this. Especially with putting in various sized contents such as the bags. It really helps to know what to get for this bag I have it on order. Appreciate the effort by you.

    Excellent review. I’m glad you included the different pouches. I was curious how well the CAP2 would fit.

      More to come! Turns out there's some amazingly made stuff to compete with GORUCK 😜 I'll post a "what's coming up next" when I hit 1K subscribers...

    Great review! Like all of your others. I didn’t realize the Cobra edition only drops once a year 😧. Very nice edition to your amazing collection

      Thanks! Don't hold me to the once a year thing. I'm a Trakke newbie. Great quality bag, I'll probably be back for more

    I’m a Trakke fan since I picked up their Bannoch which quickly replaced my Bullet. Size, stitching, pocket layout and the waxed canvas are great for my uses. I’d love a Bairn but I’m not sure that I’d use it nearly as much as a two-strap. Nice catch getting the Cobra edition. Enjoy it!

      Yeah I can see me getting another Trakke in the future. I also didn’t realize how much I’d like the messenger layout!

      I grabbed a Bairn with the old buckles, it’s a stunning bag. Thanks again for the review.

    I like that you show how different things fit in the Bairn. Should do that for all bag reviews. The slight differences between the CAP2 and the Matsuda is slight but makes a difference in how the flap folds over. Great work!

    I'm a new sub. I just discovered Rucking. I commute to work and walk from the train to my office across the National Mall in Washington DC every morning with a backpack, so I'm doing a mini ruck everyday. Great video. Moving to a messager bag due to the fact that I'm wearing suits now and backpack look stupid with a suite.

      Haha, welcome aboard! Yeah, the messenger bag is unfortunately more that mode. I loved my time in DC and wish I had that style of commute again!

    Man i love this pack so much! I have the green version in the g hook style(I think the g hook style looks more clean without the buckles as cool as the buckles look. Just feel its more “slick” without the buckles going over the top). There is so much to this bag once you start customizing it a bit to make it even better than it is. I’m usually an all black everything guy but I went with green this time.. don’t really regret it as the green goes with every single outfit I can put together unlike the black sometimes with lighter clothes etc. I’m leaning towards getting my hands on red version of bannoch or arkaig

    Thanks for trying it out with those larger packs. Do you think it would hold something like a medium Thule Compression Cube?
    I’m wondering if I can travel with it as my one bag solution for a very short trip.

    • @JBOutside1
      @JBOutside1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Probably not. This is really small...but then again, depends on how light you pack! 😜

      I’m planning a tech pouch roundup coming soon. I like the Step22 a lot. It’s dimensions are way different compared to the CAP2L

    Could a 15inch MacBook fit in the big compartments? Great review !

    • @JBOutside1

      In the main compartment? probably. Unfortunately I don't have that size to test out.

    Hey guys, what I have found that may help some of you is that, you can indeed fit larger laptops… it just wont fit into the “laptop” sleeve. For reference, in the sleeve i now put a book, and i put my tab ultra 14.6… yes… big ass tab ultra into the bag, just slide it normally, not in the sleeve part. Works out just as well. In case you’re worried about anything less than the dimension of the tab ultra. Enjoy.

    I’ve been eyeing this but wish it was a smidge wider. Just wondering how much this holds vs. a similar sized Nutsac bag if you know. I like how easy it is to get in and out of nutsac bags but I like the style of these (standard g hook bairn).

    • @JBOutside1
      @JBOutside1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven’t had a Nutsac bag but plan to at some point. For me the width is perfect. Trakke makes a bigger messenger I believe. For me, I love the cobra buckle

    • @matthewhendricks396
      @matthewhendricks396 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JBOutside1 hah I have the larger one but it’s pretty annoying to close and hook since they are covered by the flap. I think I’d prefer the top access front pockets of this as opposed to the side access on the wee lug messenger. Cant seem to get quite what I want. Also I dislike how they fall forward when using the handle. It should be a little closer to the top IMO and these would be perfect

    do you think it's possible to squeeze a 14inch mbp?

    • @JBOutside1
      @JBOutside1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think so. The 13" fits snuggly. Even IF the 14" could be wedged in it would be too tight to be useful.
