- I didn't have enough time in the Speedpaint to cover all 20 headcanons lol. but 18 is close enough, nothing important was skipped over.
BTW: Please don't go after the people who made these headcanons. Also, I got a few things wrong in this vid, it's been a while since I've seen the series in full since they took it off of hulu so hopefully it's not too bad lol.

My favorite headcannon is that Dib is autistic. I’m going to get my diagnosis in a month and Invader Zim is a very intense interest of mine so it would be nice to see a part of me in the character. I plan on making a entire essay and analysis
Why do you think Dib is autistic? I haven't seen much IZ so, just wondering.
Btw, I know this is probably none of my business but, have you finally been diagnosed yet?
@@briroberson he just reminds me of myself in how he would talk about his special interests so much people would hate him (there’s other reasons but I can’t think up one off the top of my head maybe I’ll edit this comment later) also yes I was officially with autism and dyspraxia

my fav invader zim headcanon is the one from film theory (it's one of the few of them i believe) it makes some messed up sense and even fills some odd points

@@Bluesculls_ Yay I always belived that it was Dib's grandma or grandpa who came to earth. It makes more sence that hummans became this dumb and lazy over at least 2 generations and profeser membrane can just be a clone of his dad who just loves discovering the unknown and looks up and wants to be his tallest. Plus it's not complet bs compaired to some of the headcanons in the video
@dildeepsahasi1492 that's a pretty cool headcanon! Honestly the thing that pissed me off the most was the theory that the Tallests were killing taller irkens which is not at all true
It's confirmed in a Invader Zim comic (Issue #41 I think) that Dib's hair swoop thing is a bone! But I kinda hate that idea so the hair gel theory is better to me lmao

Some headcanons I'd mostly consider interpretations instead. Headcanons, to me, are traits you assign a character and believe canon despite it not having a lot of or any proof (say, the Dib dancer thing), while an interpretation would be a deeper dive into a character to explain why they act a certain way, taking what's being shown: say, the deafness and shortness things. They're not headcanons to me, but interpretations.
And some are a mix of both, such as the "Zim wanted to take over the irken empire". That _would_ be a headcanon _within_ an interpretation. The headcanon can't work if not reinforced by that interpretation, and that interpretation needs reinforcement from canon in some way.
At least, that's how i see it. Still, in fandom, "headcanon" is used almost as an umbrella term. I just like to make that distinction, personally.
Membrane has bones in his hair, so I imagine it as an appendage.

It's kinda Canon that Zim is partly deaf. I'm not sure is it or not Canon.
It was confirmed by the creator that zim is hard of hearing
There are many dances that don't require partners.
My favorite headcannon is the that Miyuki is Red and Purple's mother. IDK I just like it.

For my headcanon, Zim's pak is slightly more under developed and one of the reasons why he's labeled as a defect
Its likely that Taz just modified hers Sir-Unit, while Zim just got a defected older model. That or Zims sir unit is actually just a robot trashcan.
For the gaz headcannon i believe they are saying she is 'a guardian' type person, someone who wants to stay neutral. She is a lawful natural or chaotic natural. Like a leader. She chooses the side who is most morally right

Ok so zim put a little bot inside of dib and was planning to kill him from the inside so dib got another bot to fight it and it was controlled by a little device resembling a DS and gaz helped him with it bc gamer girl knowledge

1. “squeedlyspooch” is not a “superorgan” (whatever the hell that is) I t’s just the irken word for “guts”
2. “Filthy” is the closest approximation to a really offensive irken word

she's definitely emo. I personally see her as not really caring about dating at all, mostly because she's a little kid
