Enjoyed this movie immensely i think Robert Patterson basis character off of Jim Jones because the way he was so manipulative in movie the mannerism in the way he preached in the movie reminded me of him
I have no idea why people are saying it's a slow burn. Lots of stuff happens like every 15 or so mins. Lots of crazy stuff too lol. Even tho this wasn't a comedy it almost gave me vibes of Stand by Me. Just obviously, more darker lol.

This film was absolutely amazing. Totally bleak as you said with great acting. I tho disagree with the character aspect being a bit mulled. I liked that you didnt really know what was happening till the end. Kept ya waiting and wanting more 🙂
I think my favorite ensemble of the last decade is Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. I went to the theater expecting one film and got a wholly different one, that with time has really grown on me, and much like other Tarantino work I’ve gone back to rewatch multiple times. Speaking to The Devil all the Time which I just finished watching, I think your assessment is a fair one. I enjoyed the film, the performances were excellent, the dual narrative didn’t quite work as well as it could have. I think this film would have made an excellent limited series, giving the character development more room as well as the plot.

Tom Holland’s character kills 4 people but yet he’s the hero in this movie because the people he killed are so disgusting. And only one of those killing he meant to do it but the others were because of the circumstances. Really good movie. Love the constant sound track thru out the film. The acting drives this movie.!i think Pattinson will grab a best supporting actor Oscar nomination. He was not the lead but his scenes were so creepy and ugly. Riley Keough may also get a supporting actress for her great performance as the reluctant sexual killer.
This movie was really good. I could not stop watching, it kept me wanting more. All the actors where fantastic. Robert Pattinson was unregonizable , which was a good thing, he really mad me believe he was this sleezy preacher. Tom Holland was also fantastic, I really enjoyed his performance, he is a very talented young man. Bill skarsgard was also unregonizable, he was really good.
Best ensembles? That is difficult. The Women(1939) is probably my favorite, because it is a movie with no men in it. It's incredibly funny and it's overflowing with sarcastic, bitchy lines. Magnolia, Short Cuts and The Royal Tenenbaums are also some of my favorite ensemble movies,

I really enjoyed this movie. A slow burn for me, but the last 45 minutes makes it so worth it. WOW. What a great movie.
I know! When everything comes to a head it's nail-biting stuff. Great showcase of acting and thought provoking narrative.

I'm not familiar with Tom Holland besides the MCU. So I hope he can blow my mind with this movie.

I'd say he's an anti-hero, he's the best of a bad group, not truly bad though.
