it´s time for the next planespotting episode from the awesome and spectacular Corfu airport in Greece. The airport is one of the most scenic ones I have ever visited and the spotting possibilities are simply amazing. I tried to include as many positions and perspectives as possible. The video includes many different aircraft and airlines like Blue Panorama Boeing 737, EasyJet, Thomas Cook, Condor, Ryanair, Eurowings, Lufthansa, Aegean, Jet2, ASL, Transavia, Wizzair, Wideroe, British Airways, some private jets and my favourite the MD83 from DAT.

Half of my family is from this little island. I was there 11 days ago. The area where you can see planes is called Κανόνι (Kanoni). It's a beautiful place. Nice video!!!

My one and only time at Corfu was in 1982 when I was the tender age of 9. We stayed at the Hotel Royale overlooking the runway, much to my delight and my parents’ dismay! Great memories - I understand the hotel went into a period of disrepair for many years, glad to see it back open in some form or another. The location is ideal for planespotting, and the nearby causeway is a wonderful place to watch planes land or takeoff over your head. Of course, back in 1982, there were no Airbuses and not one of the airlines featured in this video was there then. (We had flown ito CFU on Air Europe from LGW.) During our week, there were lots of noisy planes, mainly B737-200s, but also some Caravelles and BAC 1-11s as I recall! I can vividly remember a camouflaged Lockheed Hercules turning at the end of the runway for takeoff, I think part of Greek armed forces. Thank you for sharing!

@@XSpotAviation Air Europe, Britannia, and Monarch from the UK were regulars, as were Sterling and their Caravelles from Denmark. It was a wonderful week.
I have my late father's slides somewhere, haven't found the Corfu ones yet! I know there are some plane photos in there!

I remember large planes like triple7, MD11, A330, Boeing 757 use to land in Corfu
I have experienced this many times. I have videos from inside a take off. When you are in teh middle of the plane and at the same time you take off you see the end of the runway and the sea begins 😬😳 Or when you are in the car at red light just outside the airport and the plan take off right above you!!
Oh great place to vacation, I'm an airplane guy but definitely not when I'm on vacation and my hotel is next to the runway, it's awful.
Remind me never to go there. The near vertical take off and the mountains in front are just plain scary 😬

Das einzig interessante Flugzeug ist die md-83, sonst nur alltägliches Zeug, früher, 2003, kam hin und wieder eine tupolev, sogar noch die tu-134, etc

Them Russian pilots retract their landing gear wery quickly after take offs.
None of these were Russians I dont know what your talking about. The first clip was of a md80 which is american and was a Danish airline.

aaron lee Yes. I agree that is very soon after getting airborne. I’m assuming they are trained that way by their carrier. Once positive climb is established, get those wheels inside!

Corfu airport is terrible we arrived 3 hours before flight and got on the last shuttle to the plane. I suggest fly anywhere other than Corfu. 3 years later I still remember that horror show. We also took 2 hours to get baggage.
