    So stoked Blackmagic actually listened to the feedback ! (not image stabilization haha) They released an ATEM Mini Pro ISO that adds the possibility to record all the camera feeds separately with the Media Player images and transitions and put it into a Resolve project that you can edit. That's incredible !

    • @lafeuilleprod
      @lafeuilleprod 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yup but it's limited (only 8 frames and you can't add precise delay like 5 or 6ms), but better than nothing :)
      I have a problem with mine : it doesn't work with some of my HDMI cables, depending on the camera I use with, and it seems... well random. Do you had any issue like this with your own gear ?

    • @AndreasHeck
      @AndreasHeck 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    • @xoriginproductions
      @xoriginproductions 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lafeuilleprod Probably related to cable quality and power along the HDMI from the camera. I have had variable results so I use SDI and BM converters - though need your camera to support SDI. Try powering your camera from mains and not battery too??

    I’ve just recently squired an Atem Mini Pro and without doubt this is still the best tutorial out there even 3yrs later. A lot has changed in that time with the OBS integration and other graphic and layer products available however for the basic fundamentals of how to get up and running this tutorial is the best there is. Thanks so much for doing this I’m sure it’ll still be valuable in another 3 years time

      I have to agree.
      I have also just bought mine. I think it is fine to do a basic stream but I think the most practical use is adding it to OBS to do all the fancy stuff.
      Not being able to bring music or video into the media pool is a big limitation.
      As a switcher, it's great and takes a lot of the stress off the laptop for multicam.

    there is a 4 camera limitation work around. I have a 4K HDMI 4x1 switcher hooked up to input 4. So I have cameras on inputs 1-through 3, and the 4x1 HDMI switcher Box on input #4 (as a sub group)...where I put 2- GoPro's and 2- Panasonic G7's on it, for a total of 7 HD-Cameras Feeds. The only issue is, when I switch through the 4x1 sub-switcher, there's a few millisecond of blackness, as the 4x1 switcher drops one signal and picks up the new selected signal...but I just make sure I have channel 1,2 or 3 on the program feed while I'm selecting the proper camera feed from the 4x1 sub-switcher.

    Brilliant! I have only used my mini pro a few times and your tutorial has filled in the blank spots. The ability to monitor sound was a particular problem I encountered a week ago. The sound mixer has symbols for headphones and I was unable to get them to work. I assumed that it was an issue on my end so I uninstalled the ATEM software and reinstalled it, checked connections, etc. After a couple of hours of screwing with it I called Blackmagic support and was told I need to monitor sound through an external monitor. The monitor I was using does not do sound as it was originally for a computer. I purchased a cheap camera monitor and now I can do sound. In short, for the most part this device is pretty intuitive and is amazing for what it can do. Having only just started streaming this month I have found the mini pro to be much easier to understand and use than the OBS software although it is not bad to learn either. The mini pro is just easier for a novice to learn and use.
    Your videos and presentation style are outstanding. Thank you so much for the excellent presentation.

    How did you make the special effects and animations? Is that a software package of some kind? Very nice video! Thanks

    I love the fact that your wish list of features you'd like to see such as creating the project file are now a reality using the ISO models.

    He is one of the few true spirits on youtube. I would not have taken him serious if he would have an affiliate link. That would change this video into an advertisement video. No no, he is way above that phony crappy shit. No trying to sell equipment. Just pure honest review without personal gain. This is how TH-cam should be.

      Thank you very much for your kind comment ! Yes the goal was just to teach and share the excitement. I don't do affiliate links but I do plan to make paid courses though to go full time here :)

    Really enjoyed the demo. I was on the fence to purchase one and your video pushed me right over. Just ordered the ATEM Mini Pro. Looking forward to more of your instructional videos. Thanks

    The buttons are dimmable when you connect the management SW via USB. I don't know if this is a recent feature.
    Great thanks for the excellent video.

    This tutorial is a life saver! Just jumping into live streaming and this saved hours of research for me so, hats off!
    I thought 48 mins was too long but the way you explain stuff I did not get distracted even once!
    p.s.
    Did you make a tutorial for Blackmagic Pocket 4K and DaVinci Resolve as well? If yes, could you please share the link :)

    This is exactly what I'm looking for. Biggest problem I see with this is there's no audio delay options. The only way to avoid delay is to send the audio directly to the camera who will delay the audio with the video automatically.

    Thank you so much! I am still waiting for my backordered unit and I went to many youtube instruction videos. You are by far the very best and I feel like I'll be able to work as soon as I get my switcher.

    Very impressive and informative video. Before watching this, I had zero knowledge of how Blackmagic switchers worked. Now I feel like I could fumble my way through setting up and running a live stream event (which I'm going to do soon lol). Thank you so much and keep up the good work!

    Can you please make a tutorial on the animations part? I know it would take an eternity if I said you to do it for all the ones shown in this vid, but some animations which you feel aren't much up on YT, if you could do on those, that'd be awesome!

    Thanks for doing this. I am doing a live stream this afternoon but we are using another ATEM switcher which is the Black Magic rack mount. This is a rental unit. I wanted to see this to see if the ATEM Mini Pro might be a good purchase.
