  • How to get from arriving at Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup to the city centre on the metro or train. Here I'm going to show you the best hassle free way to get from arriving at Copenhagen Airport to the city centre on the metro or train. This will encompass a walkthrough of Copenhagen airport terminal 3, getting to border control and baggage claims but more importantly where to catch the metro or train to Copenhagen city centre, where to buy your ticket and what ticket to get.
Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup (IATA: CPH, ICAO: EKCH) is an international airport serving Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, as well as Zealand, the Øresund Region, and southern Sweden including Scania. In 2023 it is the largest airport in the Nordic countries.
As the Nordic countries' largest airport, it served 30.3 million passengers in 2019. It is one of the oldest international airports in Europe, the fourth-busiest in Northern Europe, and the busiest for international travel in Scandinavia.
The airport is on the island of Amager, 8 kilometres (5 miles) south of Copenhagen city centre, and 24 km (15 mi) west of Malmö city centre, to which it is connected by the Øresund Bridge. The airport covers an area of 11.8 km2 (4.6 sq mi). Most of the airport is in the municipality of Tårnby, with a small part in the city of Dragør.

Great tips on how to navigate the Copenhagen airport. It looks like a really nice airport but I can see how it would be so confusing to get around - much larger than the airports local to me lol. I love walking on the walkways as I feel super duper fast lol. Wow this airport is massive. Nice to see the machines where you can buy tickets for transportation to get to the city centre. Fantastic info about how to get around! Great video as always :)

Hi Paul this was really clear and informative ( as all of your videos are ) and it would definitely be very helpful for people doing this trip. Its good that you mentioned to keep following the signs to baggage claim too. Its actually a place I especially would love to visit and to see the walk-through was great. We don't venture out of North Wales much at all so I will be interested when you post a video of Copenhagen 😃
It all looked a lovely airport and good that you showed the red ticket machines and what to do to get the metro. £ 3.30 seemed a good price and it seems dependable to get around. Maybe scary that its driver less though hehe but I guess you were the driver then as you sat up front ! 😯
That was a really good idea for a video 👍~ Anna

Great idea to do these "How to get to" videos Paul. It seems so simple on screen but so stressful in reality on a first trip so all tnis info is so helpful. Don't like to be negative about a place, but can't believe all those creepy faces greeting you (on the mural that is haha ) I'm sure they could have done better than that, though that's all down to personal taste I suppose. Wow ... Border Control and No Queue... how do those words even come in the same sentence? But fantastic that they do. Quite a hike to baggage claim, thank goodness for moving pavements. You soon got that ticket machine sorted , great value & wow what an impressive station. Haha just got to sit in the front seat (and pretend to drive haha ) Looked to be a great start to your trip 😊

Those creepy faces were like me looking in the mirror ha ha. And that's the first time I have had no queue at border control. Had to be a big kid and sit up front of the metro tho it did give a great view. Thank you very much for watching. Have a great weekend 🙂👍Paul

Was a long time ago I was in Copenhagen and it was a lad's trip away so don't remember a great deal 😅 the airport looks super modern and clean. Mad how much cheaper the train is there than it is in the UK, despite wages being higher. So much cleaner as well. Hope you had a good one in Danmark mate, not sure if there's any hiking there though 🤔

So sorry I did not notice your upload till now
You seem to travel so many places in Europe. Don't you have any issue with foreign languages?
    Hike in the city? haha
OMGoodness? what? I thought about some college campus 1:16 hhahah
How old is this airport? It is simple and clean from my perspective
Step by step ticket purchase may be very helpful for new visitors or seniors.
Sometimes it is intimidating and frustrating for elders.
I like this station is protected with glass walls and doors from falling into the rails. have you heard about some hate crime? Somebody was pushed into the railroad?
As always, clear and thoughtful guide. Well done Paul. Miss your solo hike hahah.

Hi Ms Kayak, I changed the channel name to that about 6 months ago 🙂 I do like to travel as well as hike. Tho I do have a big trip booked where both will hopefully be incorporated. As regards the video I hope people find it useful on navigating the airport and on purchasing a ticket to Copenhagen city centre. I hadn't heard about someone being pushed on to the railroad but I guess it happens in this sometimes sad world. The metro stations in Copenhagen all have these glass walls and doors. They are also driverless. I will have some solo hiking videos from Scotland coming soon so you can have your fix. Thanks for not forgetting me and stopping by. Have a great week 🙂👍Paul
