BMW performance of their new vehicles is closer than ever to Porsche and there are astronomical differences in price. Having owned a 991.2C2, 992C2S, M3 Comp xDrive, and now an M8, BMW is an insanely better deal and will give you just as much if not more joy than Porsche.
is the m8 loud? also does it handle well, i hear a lot of people saying it doesn’t?
Porsches look and handle so much better though, sure the straight line performance is as good if not better + the cheaper price, but I can’t get over the new styling, and that’s coming from a E91 BMW owner
@@JRB41 looks are subjective. Most non car people I know look at a 911 and say what’s so special about that. Some think they’re just ugly.
As far as handling I can vouch when comparing the $85k M3 I owned to the $135k 992 C2S the difference was minimal and personally I liked the M3 interior better than the 911.
I don’t track anything but enjoy pushing cars hard in the right places. If you track a car where tenths of a second matter, and are well funded, go for the Porsche!
I love both brands personally, just feel that other brands also have amazing performance for a fraction of the price (and wait time to buy new) of a Porsche.
Currently I’m out of the sports car market, driving an X5 50e and love it. Like it way batter than the 21 Cayenne Coupe I had driving and interior quality/comfort. Not a big price difference in this case though, Cayenne was just a base.
@@jgway9980 Test drove the new X5 M and a Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid, both fully loaded. I much preferred the burmester sound in the Cayenne, and the quality was superior in my opinion. Not a fan of the curved displays that are unintegrated, aswell as the lack of physical buttons. Also noted that the suspension was too stiff for my liking.. for the price the X5 is definitely a better value, but if I had to choose between the 2 I’d pick the Cayenne
@@JRB41 I haven’t driven the top of the line X5 or Cayenne’s so I can’t vouch for those. Amazing though yeah I was shocked that the X5 50e feels better quality, rides better, and even handles better than the 21 base Cayenne I had. 4 wheel steering and air suspension are standard on the 50e and it definitely makes a difference. From what I hear, the high end Cayenne models are the best SUV’s on the road but I would never pay what they are going for. With that said I wouldn’t touch an X5 M for that price either. The 50e is pushing near 500hp and 500+ lb and that to me is the sweet spot for an SUV.

There is a significant different in price, but M8 is the best car if you don't mind the spending the extra 30-40 Gs.
I am not saying M8 is the best deal, just the better car overall, you can go from 4WD to 2WD with the touch of a button, CT5 is only rear wheel drive.
However, CT5-V Blackwing is more exotic and you can get a manual transmission, which is an anti-theft device by its very nature.
I think its a matter of personal preference, no wrong answer, both are incredible machines.
Agreed on ID8. It absolutely sucks! I want to like it. Mainly the climate control. And telling My BMW to do it with kids in the car is not going to happen. Also in the south east, we have to keep it on max a/c all the time. It just doesn’t get cold. We have the X7 M60i.

because bmw doesn't love the series 8 :) it's all about the 3 series and 5 series :)
