Awesome, I really like the LED lights in these receivers. I feel these are great looking when all lit up. I am putting some in an KR-9400 in a few days. Enjoy your Kenwood and the music it will make for you.

What about the meter lights? Are they screw in or soldered. Not mentioned in your video. Would have been nice to see that.

Hi, those are soldered in, sorry that I didn’t show it.

Hi, thanks for watching and writing. Installing the new LED's are pretty easy. Rebuilding the various boards isn't too bad, just take your time. Lots of pictures, videos, and notes will help you later on when re-installing everything. Also, test the unit after each board so you know if you mess up something. If you do 2 or 3 boards then test, finding the problems is a lot harder. Hope this helps.

Acquired one. Cleaned it up. Cleaned tuner cap with Deoxit with no residue . There is intermittent noise on the FM tuner and the AM tuner has a popping sound and gets only one station. While using the aux inputs and phono the amp sounds perfect with no issues. Just the AM/FM section has issues. Any ideas?

Sorry for the delay, working lots of hours at my real job, lol. I have never tried Deoxit in the tuner cap. I usually use MG Chemicals non-residue cleaner. Then with a syringe I apply tiny drop to each contact so I don't contaminate anything else. Have you check all the caps/resistors are within tolerance on the IF, MPX tuner board?
