    Solid scape was very good and sought out by many jewelers 15+ years ago. With SLA printing being cheaper and cheaper with every year who would want to pay 20k+ for a printer with tons of moving parts not to mention the incredibly high consumables cost as well… solidscape you had your moment… time to adjust your marketing/engineering to suit the ever growing demands of the cad/cam community.

    You need to make a cheaper version of this and every jeweler would buy :)

    How much price

    What's the advantage of this compared to SLA machines like Form 3? No need to design supports? Support design is now largely automated and the learning curve for adjustments is pretty shallow.

      Solidscapes are just way to expensive. matter of fact all wax printers are. The only advantage is casting. WHen you cast these wax, their detail is just phenominal. No printer can beat the detail but again how many times will you will be printing a piece that is highly detailed? Maybe once or twice a month? and for that, you can always pay an external printer to print it.

      there is a waxlike resin for resin-printers now anyway. costs around 350$ for 1kg (at least the one i saw). honestly the solidscape ones were ok when they came out but got outdated by newer technologies already.

      Basically just castability is the only true advantage but resin technologies are advancing yearly. I’ve seen sla printers in the 10k and cheaper produce models as detailed as the most expensive wax printer.

      I got a form 3 for several years now . I would prefer to have a normal wax printer because of better burnout results but ues at nearly 5 times the price

    I'd be interested in this as I'm currently working with small functional machines and not every small part is viablefor billet CNC. This machine looks like it would be greatly useful for printing cast crankshafts and similar items for small combustion engines. What is the price of such machine?

    • @hyphen2612
      @hyphen2612 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, the wax may cost a lot more than the billet material for most common industrial metals. That's why it's mostly used for precious metals to justify the cost.

      @@hyphen2612 Oh. Do they use a special kind of wax?

      last time i checked it was around 24.000$ for the machine itself
      the material is custom cylinders for i think around 20$ each but you can only buy them in batchpacks that are... i think around 1000$ each.
      (store.solidscape.com/product/midas-build-material-case-of-6-trays/ mind you need two types of "filament" this one and the construction type)
      if thats affordable to you i guess you should look into it.
      but it doesnt sound like a reasonable cost to make small machine parts (plus its prolly outdated and out of stock) id rather look into getting a decent resinprinter (something like idunno, phrozen mini prints fast small and very detailed or formlabs printers or whatever you like better) and use a wax-like material that will burn clean out of the mold
      powerresins.com/products/powercast-wax-castable-resin something like this.

    How solid is this wax? Anything toxic about the materials? I'd like to get away from extrusion machines.

    Its just to expensive for small jewelers .would love to have one but i work with form3 from proform

    Only for 25.000 dollars.

    But how does one get the one made from silver or gold?

    • @nguyenvuhoanglong3418
      @nguyenvuhoanglong3418 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This wax model will become a core , they will make a clay mold around it then pour the liquid silver/gold into the mold , the wax melted and drains out of the mold (lost wax technic)...

      You can use any alloy you cast in

      It goes through a process from investment to burnout , to casting.

    New machine? Is the same machine as 350 370 390!!! Just the motion on the same motors and other sticker on the front cover. . Not even compare to Fromlabs, Envisiontech or Projet 2500W from 3Dsystems!!! I tought that Solidscape is much improved but they have put another sticker on the same components inside. They haven't even 360 degree view in slicing software since 20 years! In one price of S325 you can purchase 5-6 formlabs or add some money to the budget and increase production with Projet 2500W and save time, money and nervous. I really wait that Solidscape release true machine with multi-jet technology.

      I want to buy a 3D printer for the production of jewelry but I have not come to understand what is the most suitable machine in terms of cost, productivity and profitability. I'm waiting for your help and thank you
