    So love your videos, and it gives me great ideas of where to visit when I'm in London next.
    I went to London for the very first time last year (was there for 3 days) and was absolutely blown away by the place, and can't wait to go back. I plan on visiting London for many years to come.

      JAMES WHITELEY Thanks for recommending Bath. I also wanted to visited the castle from Downton Abby. That’s been on my bucketlist since day 1. I just need to know is it close by York or a little far off

      Tyiesha Jackson I believe it’s a little bit out of the way. At least for us British - we’re not used to travelling long distances lol. Are you just staying in York? If you’re staying in London I would recommend Windsor Castle or the Hampton Court. Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey) might be a little tricky using public transport.

    One of the great things about Watched Walker's videos is that non Londoners can see a lot of the city away from the proverbial tourist hot spots. There's a hell of a lot more to London than Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, The Tower etc. as great as they might be.

    • @WatchedWalker
      @WatchedWalker  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the kind words Paul, and I agree, there's so much to see in London off the beaten track!

    • @sivertone5131
      @sivertone5131 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      But City of London is the tourist hot spot too (St Paul etc.). I would love to see Watched Walker recording places like Stratford, Brixton, Tottenham, Wembley, Croydon - in other words some real London streets. Still a fan of his videos though.

    These videos are well worthy of getting nominated in ‘BAFTA’ for being the best WALKING tour guide videos with good looking people all around as walking actors in it.
    AND the Oscar goes to ‘watched walker’.

    This is great. I haven't been able to get out and people watch because of an illness. I love all the buildings round there (well , most anyway) , I used to get out at Holboln and work in chancery lane. Thanks so much , feel like I was there again.

    Modern architecture is ruining London.

    • @paullewis2413
      @paullewis2413 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Really depends on the area. The City of London (Financial Centre) is the worst offender where many fine buildings were demolished in the 60's,70's and 80's to be replaced with cheap trash which is now being replaced again (usually with something better if not ideal) Kensington ,Chelsea, Mayfair and parts of Westminster are much better preserved and any new buildings are generally of a high quality.

    • @jameswhiteley6843
      @jameswhiteley6843 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@paullewis2413 yes I agree. The 60's, 70's and 80's were the worst years for architecture. I just wish we could have preserved our buildings better like France does. All modern buildings look the same.

    • @jameswhiteley6843
      @jameswhiteley6843 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Daniel I agree to a certain extent. But it either works or it doesn’t.

    • @lawn38
      @lawn38 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I disagree... some modern buildings complement historic buildings. But during the 60s to 90s they did build some outstanding rubbish! Thankfully that crap is being replaced. London is a beautiful city in parts, makes it unique!!!

    • @jameswhiteley6843
      @jameswhiteley6843 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      lawn38 yeah I think the new buildings are better than that period. However, I did go to Paris and got a bit bored of the sameness of the architecture. I found it easy to get lost in Paris due to the buildings looking the same whereas in London areas are unique.
