  • Alberta itself doesn't have too much free primitive camping but if you want it you need to get a permit per person to do so. Well we both got our permit so off we go to take advantage of it! We head into the Livingstone PLU to camp and hike for a few days.

Keep an eye out for ticks - tis the season! The grassy foothills area is prime tick habitat (tall greass/aspen woodland)

Thanks for showing how you set up and use different gear and items! (Like needing extenders to use the panels). I’m enjoying this series!

Enjoy you two! Love seeing updates of you exploring our backyard 😉 Alberta, 🇨🇦 Enjoy the land to “yourselves” as recall the long weekend is coming up next Friday - Monday. Prairie Mountain is cool, I hear. I haven’t been yet. 🙌🏻

Great video. House vacuumed so I finally got to watch it all. 😂 I actually grew up camping in that area at Dutch Creek. I believe your either a tad north or south of that location. It’s likely too snowy to make it up to the Livingstone lookout or I recall that is what it was called nearby there. Lots of fond memories. The one mountain you were looking at reminded me of one we’d see bears on frequently. Good times!! Cheers 🍻

Also meant to say your content is excellent with great tips and tricks as well as equipment. Great to see you exploring areas that mostly locals stick to. Oh and just an FYI the closer you are to the mountains the better chance you’re going to get snow on Victoria Day weekend; however, the May long is looking warmer than most!! 🤞🏻

Absolutely beautiful scenery Jay and Tina! I'm so amazed how well you get by and even thrive. The eagle at the end looks so well fed I'm thinking the fish in the river must be quite good 😊. Thanks for sharing this with us as we live vicariously through you 😊

Prairie mountain will do that to you, you think you're almost there and the incline gets even more crazy, well worth the views on top!

You only need a Kananaskis (Parking) Pass if you're in the small Kananaskis area of Alberta. It's not for all Public Lands in Alberta.

Verizon as well as most US carriers provide free roaming to Canada and Mexico with some plans like the unlimited plans. It throttles you quickly but still free.
