  • Lonnie heads into the Alaskan backcountry with his ATV directly from his house. Going to be trying out a new tent and stove as well as just enjoying some good back country solo camping. It was windy and rained a lot the second day but the tent was solid and warm.

    Hello my name is Lonnie and My wife is Connie.
    Here at Far North Bushcraft And Survival you will learn about many long forgotten tricks and tips of the old time woodsmen. Not only will you learn about bushcraft / woodcraft but you will learn many things that will help you to survive in less than ideal "survival" situations as well. Come along and sit with me by the campfire as I delve into these subjects in a way that you can easily learn to then do yourself.
    I will show you how to make shelters, gather food, use wild medicines as well as start fires with or without matches, lighters, ferro rods, etc

    Not sure how old everyone is here but back in the 70's, I grew up watching Dan Haggerty doing the Grizzly Adams! He is the one responsible for me loving the outdoors besides my father that passed away when I was 10yrs old at the time!. OMG I miss him. Miss great TV and natural life like this. Glad I can watch it here! Not so much because I do it always still today, but at nearly 51, I cannot express how much love I have for this awesomeness! Thank you so much. I bet you and Connie must be fans of Grizzly Adams. Love and blessings from Ontario Canada!

    Hello Lonnie oh, it's always good to see you sharing your videos with the world. You have always has so much to offer in the words of wisdom oh, just like before eating your meal a little bit of Silence. I know what that is all about as I am a fellow Christian oh, it's always a great deal to give praise to our maker and keeper. There is so little of that going around these days in everything that is going on. Many blessings to you and your family.

    The tennis balls on the chair legs...what an excellent way to keep the chair legs from sinking into the dirt... glad I spotted that gem😊👍

    • @Far-North-Bushcraft-Survival
      @Far-North-Bushcraft-Survival  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The tennis balls do work great for chair leg flotation. However the tennis balls get quite dirty and I spend quite a bit of time after each outing washing and drying the balls. SO I have changed to whiffle balls now which are about the same diameter as the tennis balls. I do not like the way that the whiffle balls fit near as much as the tennis balls but the whiffle balls are much easier to clean when needed.

    We appreciate you too Lonnie. Your videos always have something good in them, no matter what your experience level is. The dish I make like yours in this video, don't include bell pepper. I do the potatoes onions and spam, and that's all done I stir in my eggs, and when they're just about done I turn it off, lay sliced cheese all over the top, put the lid on and let the cheese melt down through it. That's my version. Okay you and Connie have a great day, I'll see you on the next one.
