Had the T5V on my desk basically since they came out. Swore to get the 7V for my living room once I moved out. Then the T8V came out. They arrive in 2.5 hours. I’m so excited.
Thanks for the great review!!🙌 Do you think it might be worth spending more than twice as much for A8V? Or do you think the jump in performance from T8V to A8V is not worth the price increase?
Wonder if i could do the same with my Focal Alpha 80s? As they are out of warranty, now, i guess i could remove the back panel to check the interior of the cabinet...
I swear after first minute I've got so hysterical I couldn't watch it further... eventually calmed down but boy was I wrong expecting to be able to follow the review... now after 30 minutes I'm all in sweat but happy to finally ending your review! Thank you for the genius and passion you put in creating for us this videos! 🔥🔥🔥🤪
I really like that channel, I'm sure you're great to work with! You're doing a great job combining entertainment and information. While being silly in a pythonesque way, you keep enough focus to the topics themselves. Thank you again for another great video! ( The interlude gave me a good smile )
You Guys are awesome - I was listening through headphones and didn't realise how loud I was laughing until my wife advised me that I woke her up at 2am!! - The rollocking was worth it.
Lava out my nipple was a classic …..thats insane dude i laughed and pissed my pants at the same time you guys are crack ups…you certainly switched it up!!!!
Everytime I watch one of your videos my day get so much better hahahaha Another pair of monitors that blew me away for the price were the tannoy reveal 802. I know a few sound engineers that tested them in an anechoic chamber and thought their measurements were wrong because of how flat the curve was. Plus the tannoys are front ported which can help if your room acoustics is suboptimal. If you get a chance, check them out or the tannoy gold 8. Would like to see what you think of them :)
Have you heard a pair of Kali IN-5's? Same price, three way, absolutely superb. In this price range they are an absolute steal and I couldn't find anything comparable unless I spent a whole lot more. For two years I was going to buy Adams... I bought the Kali's! Had them two months and they are wonderful.
Epic video! :D I do not have any speakers yet, just headphones. I will probably go with the T5V when the time arrives, as my dedicated room is not much bigger than these monitors. If I put my desk in it will it sort out the resonance? :)
We love the Tannoys, and worked on them for years and years, but once you’ve heard them side by side with something with that ATC mid dome in them then, for us, there’s no going back
Thank you guys for the reviews. They're super helpful. I'm really considering buying a pair of these bad boys for mini-party listening and mixing bass heavy electronic music or hip hop as they're a renounced brand with an attractive bass. Though i'm also considering the Kali IN-8's 2nd wave as it's a three way monitor and considerably stronger at a very good price. What are your thoughts on this comparison?
@@PresentDayProduction I'm glad that you took the time to answer! I respect that, and after watching your videos and others I'm most likely to avoid the Kali's. Since I made this question tho, I also found a really interesting pair which is the KRK 10-3 G4 . A 3-way monitor with a 10-inch woofer that goes down to 26 hz as stated from the manufacturer. I'm serisouly considering those as they are from an also well-knowed company, topping the end of my budget and I think would complement my taste in music in general, which is old school bass heavy trance- techno. Do you have any extra thoughts or experiences with those or my thought process? How would you compare the low end as a comparison to the T8V's? As i struggle to find a well constructed review with these , I would highly appreciate it.
I haven’t heard those particular KRK monitors, however from those I have heard, the bass end seems slightly exaggerated. It’s definitely worth waiting a short while until we receive the new ADAM’s - we heard them at a private press listening event about two months ago and they are actually pretty good, and we will be doing a review on them as soon as they arrive
@@PresentDayProduction Wow. Thanks for the info.I was actually searching for upcoming ADAM's on the net but didnt find nothing. I'm currently working for summer season on a Greek island on a room that If I putted the KRK 10's inside I would have to sleep on the beach! So my musical satisfaction fantasies are for a pair of big woofers to warm me up in the cold nights of winter! So patience is key in my situation! I might be asking a lot at this stage, but you drew my curiosity for sure! Do they have 8 inch + subs? are they 3-way? do they go as low as 25 hz or 20 ( would be an insta buy ^^) ?? are they rear- ported? I believe in those guys. They can innovate and make really cheap and great sounding speakers if they want!
I got the Adam t8v today. My t8v lose power when playing to the max setting. The highs fad in and out and low end sometimes give up. Every time a kick comes in it makes a popping sound like it Distorted or something I’m new to studio monitors.
I have a brand new pair of these. I'm eagerly anticipating the modification video. Btw, Adam Audio doesn't share your concern about the rear firing port and proximity to the wall, as there are controls and connectors that prevent it from being flush up against the wall anyway.
Nice to see more approachable speakers being reviewed. I'm curious whether you tested Eve audio speakers already? The company started when a bunch of people decided to leave Adam audio and open new company. They are targeting the more expensive line from Adam though, like the A7X for example.
Been using the T7Vs for the past year and they have been so good to me. Took some time to learn them properly, and only problem I have had is when I use the genelec monitors at my school i mix my mixes too dark since I am so used to the Adams which are a bit darker.
James here - Before we start recording, Mark makes stupid noises, as shown towards the end of the video, and I just can't concentrate from then on, it's an utter nightmare! Love it!
All the laughing when you started talking about the low end and the cabinet made it difficult to understand what you was saying. We appreciate your review, but try to limit the laughing please.

Hey, guys... you’re on fire (etc)..! Q: Why is new pair of monitors like an F1 Team with constantly colliding team-mates..? A: They need to have better integration between the drivers. Though, the fact that you both prefer different settings demonstrates that the idea of a Holy Grail ‘perfect/flat’ speaker is bollocks... just pick a pair you like and learn how they translate. High production value, good information, and...questionable British humor. Sorry, humour. Strange that these videos never seem to really have the penetration that they ought to, given the outstanding quality of the content. Perhaps it is the the left-of-center hilarity that prevents viewers from taking any of this too seriously. (And recording types are nothing if not dead serious about everything, even things that normal people would find either dreadfully dull or completely inconsequential. The minutiae of transducing sound pressure into artistic masterpiece is like a sort of religion and the fervor is as well. One must genuflect where one must, or I think they stop sending Tape Op, ban you from GearSlutz, and so forth.) I am a great fan of the absurd, myself, yet some of the fun seems objectively non sequitur. Will continue to watch. Will continue to skip certain segments puzzlingly daffy to North Americans. Carry on...

At least enough to post a comment. So, maybe, what the hell do I know? Shall I delete the original comment? Shall I leave it up? Let me drink on that for a second...
Leave it up, of course! I guess a lot of people don’t like the ‘humour’ but this is TH-cam. The content is free, and there’s a load of ‘serious’ stuff out there, so we have to have fun making the videos whilst hopefully sharing some useful information in between the silly stuff! The best piece of advice we got from all the ‘big’ you tubers we’ve spoken to is “Just be yourselves”. So we are! And there is always the scroll bar, skip button, and if the subscribe button is hit, it can be hit again for the opposite effect! A drummer friend of ours gave us a very good insight around a year ago when he said “You’ve just gotten me in trouble with my wife. I watched your latest video and she was gutted that I’d watched it alone. Now I’m not allowed to watch your videos until she gets back from work!” And, of course, she has no interest in music production. So that kinda said it all for us 😎
@@PresentDayProduction I came to delete my comment. Seeing your good humor about your humour makes me doubly sure I should. Maybe I was having a too-serious day or something.
