there is rule about queen bee location: in the morning-east side of the nest,noon- center frames, afternoon- west side of the nest.....just take inspection calm, with minimum smoke and the rule is working....cheers

How is it that you don’t have a suit on or that you’re smoking the hive? My bees are all over if you get near the hive.

I have Caucasian bees and rarely wear a suit and if I smoke them I use it sparingly. Carniolan bees are almost as calm as Caucasian. Its in the genes.
