Great video. Well done. I have one. Just started to drive it after my CBT last Feb. Wish I did this in my earlier years. Great pastime. Out of the house and onto the quiet back roads.

Nice channel, you got yourself a subscriber. I'm 58 and have always wanted to ride a motorbike after riding road push bikes for most of my life. Being able to keep up with the trafic is going to be a bonus lol. Passed my CBT last week and my theory 3 days later and waiting delivery of my white CB125F this Thursday and I simply can not wait. Like you, my CBT was on one of the worst days and it did not stop raining all day. When I got back to the yard I was like a kid who wanted to go back on the fairground ride again. Nice work

Hi. Thanks for your comment. A late starter like myself then. I feel your pain with regards to the weather. I’ve only been caught in the rain once since that day. Here’s to lots of happy biking on your new toy!! 👍

You'll get a far better standard of training if you do your direct access tests to get a FULL licence. CBT is the bare minimum. It also means you will have access to some truly exciting machines, there's no comparison between a restricted 125 and anything 600cc and above. You'll find that riding round with L plates, that they attract idiots, chancers and pisstakers. A full licence will mean you can tear those up forever. To give you a really simple example to illustrate the difference, my 1000cc Yamaha will happily go faster in first gear than a typical 125 can go using all it's gears, and it will get there in 3 seconds flat. I'm a 50 year old who waited until he was 40 to get on and do the tests after riding small bikes a bit when I was a youngster. I did CBT, then direct access course doing the entire thing, CBT and all on a 600cc Yamaha Fazer after a 25 year break from riding. Bought a brand new Yamaha MT10 last year as a 50th birthday present and after a hellish divorce. Even if you keep the 125, go do your test. It's absolutely worth the skin on your back, the blood in your veins and bones in your body spending under £1000 to get yourself a full licence and some proper training.

For longer journeys get yourself an inflatable air cushion. Ebay is good for them. I've got one and it makes a he k of a difference. Good review by the way. I'm definitely going to buy one of these. I've been riding all sorts of bikes and scooters and now I quite like the idea of pottering about on smaller displacement machines. Ca t see anyone beating this incredible unsung hero. No sports bike of course but 170+ miles to a gallon. Absolutely brilliant. 😂❤

I use a Givi SR1184 Rear Rack bought from sportsbikeshop for £70 last year, it's real solid and easily fit using the rear grab handle holes. for days out i have a QBag Dakar Rearbag that stores my disklock, a flask, food, and numerous other bits and pieces, it's expandable and has a small cargo net thingy on the top just in case, and for touring i use a QBag Tail Bag 4. I dont like top box's myself as i think they make the bike look ugly and make you look like a courier lol, but that's my own preference - hope that helps

it doesnt do 178mpg in the real world. i've had mine for a year and documented every fill up. ignore the bike display mpg and calculate it properly, you will find it overestimates wildly. ive made many posts on this so wont repeat, but GL, i love mine.

@@TheFatBikerDiaries aye, it's fantastic, even riding it un-economically can easily yield 120mpg, well above the pre 2021 cb125f's, and careful tootling around at 30-40 with the eco-meter on green a lot can give well over 150mpg when averaged over time, even for an oversize frame like mine. at the end of the day the difference is a quid or two on a fill up, not even a cup of tea in a cafe these days, and the honda reliability is legendary. for the price and residual values you just can't do better. It's a bit of a gripe with me that all motor manufacturers advertise un-obtainable laboratory condition mpg's and i like to set the record straight if poss, so please don't think im just having a go lol - GL
